Yes, yes, everyone has done the non-polar/polar, but has anyone tried a basic non-polar, then dilute acid to make salts? The procedure I am considering is the one typically used for making mescaline. Anybody with any experience?
I would expect lysergic acid to be less durable than mescaline, so a lower pH should be maintained (12-14 max) and be kept basic for a shorter time.

I read somewhere the theory that LSA is naturally slightly polar, and that is the reason a Naphtha wash will not remove too much LSA before your polar (alcohol) extraction.
Would a non-polar wash would be necessary if doing the A/B? What exactly does the non-polar wash remove? Would the negatives come out as additional salts in the final product?
I suppose the choices are:
Procedure A:
Naphtha wash,
Alcohol extraction,
Add basic non-polar solvent,
Collect solvent,
Add acidic water solution to make salts
Procedure B:
Soak seeds in water,
Add basic non-polar solvent,
Separate solvent,
Add acidic water solution to make salts
Also, would one type of acid be preferred over another for this? How much acid would one use?
Anybody have any info/ideas?
