I'm scared... :( I've been out of school for like two years and I'm really nervous. I won't know anyone, and I don't really want to, because I'm kind of sick of putting up with stupid friends... and I just now got rid of all the ones I don't like. Now I have to go out and make more! haha

I'm taking history, math, and Marriage and Family. I don't want to take the last one, really.... I just signed up for it on a whim because it said it includes "couple intimacy," and I was curious. :D I'll be getting 9 hours or whatever.... I'm afraid! Cross your fingers!

Maybe someday I'll be one of your kids' history teacher..... :)

It's Nashville State... I don't know why it's not Tennessee State... but it's not. Then I'm going to MTSU, because this is just a two year school.

Good luck!
I started school again this summer after being out for about 4 years.
Scary. I actually made an attempt to go back 2 years ago but didn't work. Now I am putting it as one of the main priorities even though I have a very demanding full time job,
It will be another 4 long years hopefully.
All the best!

Take it easy ;)

although I admit I'm quite nervous too.. I hope I'll find friends there, cause that school isn't in my town, it's in Prague, so I'll know nobody there... uuuuuuuuf, I hope it will be ok.

I was out of school for 12 years then I decided that I needed a "life change". I just finished one semester and I did just fine. It took me a while to get used to "the swing of things" but if you are determined and drivin', you can accomplish anything! I wish you the best of luck HappyHaHaGirl and I know you will do just fine. I have two girls and a full time job as well. If I can do it, so can you. Earthy Mama, do not let anything stop you! I know you can do it as well. I wish you both the best of luck.

You should go back if you can, Eryn. I guess it's not so bad. The only thing that sucks is that I have to take this math class that I took in like seventh grade or something because I didn't take Algebra II in high school... it's retarded. What we're doing is Algebra I... I already did that! I have to pay for two semesters of a class I already passed in high school so that I can take Algebra II! I hate it. But my teachers are pretty cool. It also sucks that I have to sit through three hours of class a night, since I'm taking night classes instead of three 1hr classes... yuck.

Thanks for the happy! :)

Hannah, I went back to school after being out for 7 yrs. I'm almost done now. With my two yr degree. Don't sweat it, you'll do great.

And Eryn, you should totally try to get in school. You should do it while you're guys are still young. I'm only gone 3-4 hours a day, so you won't be gone too much. And a lot of community colleges (2 yrs) have programs that help out single parents with tuition, books, even daycare. I don't use the daycare because Tim stays home with Virginia in the mornings and works at night, but a lot of single moms get their daycare paid for while they're in class.

ps. Hannah, did you take a placement test for your math? If you are decent in math, you could probably place higher than the beginning math classes and not have to take them. I placed into Calculus and I hadn't had any math since 1995!

I took a placement test... there were two maths parts: Algebra I and Algebra II. I passed Algebra I, but got a really super low score in Algebra II, because I never took it in high school and had never seen most of the stuff on there. So now they're making me take Algebra I... which is retarded. Because I passed it. But I'm hoping that, since it's bullshit and my mom is friends with the Dean, if I totally ace the class, I can skip the next remedial course and go on to the college level class. :)
