I've got a poem in the latest volume of the anthology series 'In Our Own Words: A Generation Defining Itself', which is out now and available from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Our-Own-Words-Generation-Defining/dp/0965413691/ref=sr_1_14/002-7119611-8994458?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1190256462&sr=8-14). Despite the shameless self-plug, it's worth taking a look, some excellent work in there, including the likes of Zadie Smith and Billy Bragg, bringing together voices of the generation born 1962-1982.

yes, i think you really did just say that

really, i should congratulate you on having a poem published.
doesn't seem to be that small of feat really; so i'm really happy for you.
if i were in your shoes i'd be bragging a bit too.

is this the first thing you've had published? (thinking it is but my memory isn't great sometimes)

(thinking it is but my memory isn't great sometimes)It's not bragging, it's self-promotion, there's a world of difference  No it's not the first poem I've had published, but it is the largest publication I've been in to date. I'm not actually all that fussed about getting poetry published anymore. If it happens it happens. The novel's the main objective and it has been for the last two years working on it, and for that I think it's probably best to try to get your name out there a bit....
