First of all I love smoking good marijuana. I have heard that growing organic produces a much tastier and overall better bud than growing hydro. I just moved into a new townhouse that has an abundance of closet space. I thought of buying a six plant hydroponic system online but then changed my mind to wanting to grow a few organic plants. The problem is that I don't know where to begin? My problem is not the lack of information on growing but the complete opposite. I am overwhelmed on what the best method can be and where to find it. My number one concern is having the plants not visible and keeping the smell too a minimum. If someone can please get me started on the right track I would truly appreciate it. Thanks and have a good one!
The best thing you can do right now is read read and read some more. Get a few books, there are plenty of good ones out there. Something by Jorge Cervantes or Greg Green would be good. My next piece of advice is to visit some bigger canna-sites (icmag.com, planetganja.com, hg420.com) and look over people's setups. If it works for them, then you can copy it and make it work for you.
As far as organic mixes are concerned, I'd let that be for a bit. KISS = keep it simple stupid. That's how you wanna start. Reading is necessary, but nothing it gonna learn you good like some experience, and you're gonna have alot to learn. It's not rocket science, but this shit is no TV dinner either. Try a simple soil mix, or buy a premade mix like fox farm.
Also, as long as it's flushed well, oprganic bud doesn't ebat out chem bud by all that much. A bit smoother, tastes a bit better, but I doubt you could tell much of a difference in a blind test if both were grown properly.
I know what you mean by being overwhelmed, just stick to soil in the beginning, once you start to know your stuff then get your feet wet with hydro.
As for smell - no problem there, get some decent ventilation and a carbon scrubber and you're golden - no smell.
How many plants do you wanna grow? How big of a light? Whatever you do, don't slack on the equipment. You get out what you put in bro, it may seem like alot but damn its a fun hobby.

I am only considering growing a small amount of plants. I only want like 2-3 growing but I have heard I should start with about 6 because some may die or become males. I have no idea what to do as far as lights are concerned. I have an entire closet I can dedicate to growing but I dont want to get carried away growing too many plants my first time.
