As you can see I've created a bunch of link and review categories specific to the Old Hippies group. Do you have any other suggestions?

Hey Skip, what do you think of changing the name of the group from "Old" Hippies Group to "Original" Hippies Group. Our societal definition of "old" is so debilitating. I think the Boomers are taking that to another level. Dr. Bruce Lipton has shown that our genes are flexible and can be reprogrammed, not chiseled in steel like our forefathers believed. What we buy into and consequently tell ourselves is how we wind up feeling.

Aubrey deGrey, a rejuvenation researcher, says that humans can easily live beyond two hundred years, not as wrinkled up skeletons, but as active two-hundred-year-olds in thirty-year-old bodies. Medical researchers have already rejuvenated skin cells and turned back the entire aging process in the laboratory. They say that old age is a disease that can be cured.

Aubrey deGrey has identified seven biological reasons for the aging process, all of which can be reversed by doing a mental and physical cleanup. These seven include: changes in DNA, cell mutation, intracellular toxic build-up, extracellular toxic build-up, cell loss, undividable cells, and tissue cross-linking.

Scientists used to say that once brain cells died that was it, they didn't reproduce. Now they have changed their story. Everything in the physical universe changes constantly. There is no static energy in physicality.

Anywho, I think it's time to learn from our forefathers and create a new age with new definitions.

I was just thinking yesterday that I wasn't too keen on being called an "Old Hippy" myself, and the group name isn't very flattering.

I'll think about that... :)

Considering the name "Old Hippies" has been discussed here numerous time in the last few years, lets leave well enough alone and face the truth and the music.

In other words, if you were in high school in the late 60's and early 70's your not getting any younger.

Be proud of the fact some of us lived through a very special social and cultural experiment.

Changing the forum name changes nothing, especially the memories.
