has anyone tried this? i was just wondering if vacuum packing and freezing was a good way to store weed long-term. and if so, anybody have suggestions on products/techniques to use?

A couple leayers of zipclocks would do the same thing, but should work just fine.

Ive heard freezing can work pretty well if you want to save alot for along time. I never really need to have my shit baggied up alot though cuz I never have the same sack more then a week or so.

Mason jars sitting in a cool, dark place will keep buds perfect......

The vacuum sealer works great for bulk storage. Just make sure everything has been dried and cured properly. For a normal stash ^ the mason jars are sweet as the herb gets mellower as the curing time increases.

Freezing seems to keep potency OK but makes your weed mighty harsh. Thought I needed a throat transplant. Mason jars or tupperware in a cool dark place works much better,; keeps better cures better holds potency better. for years.

3 years ago I got about an elbow from an outdoor grow, I only use an oz a month, so I put it up using vacuum sealing and freezing it...18 months later I pulled out the last oz and it was as fresh as the day I froze it...I definately recommend this method for long term storage...

Mason jars are the best solution for long term storage imo. Cheaper, easier, and the bud tastes so much smoother than freezing or vacuum sealing.
On the other hand, just do what you want to do. It's your herb after all. :)

The food saver works well. I like to ziplock my nugs first and then put them in the vaccum sealer to lock in the stink for transport and what not.
