caapi brew (ayahuasca)

my caapi brew is orange, with a dark layer of goopy sediment on the bottom. my erowid instructions say the brew should be dark purplish, like red wine.

i assume the sediment is just from not filtering it enough, but anyone have any idea why it would be orange? i used yellow caapi vine btw
