You can get epi-pens OTC in Canada from behind the counter. Prescription in the US thou. I heard that some med kits in the UK have epinephrine syringes in them.

in the rest of the world, we call it adrenalin, and it is in various topical anaesthetics in small doses. i dunno if anything else over the counter has it. i think its only for topical use when over the counter.

in the rest of the world, we call it adrenalin, . I thought that was a british/archaic US thing, and everyone now was referring to it generically as epinephrine. Adrenalin sounds much cooler iMHO.

no it won't get you high, not like a drug that works primarily in the brain on NET or DAT. What it does is activate the fight/flight immediate stress response...i.e. DANGER. so your heart starts pumping harder, your pupils dialate, digestion slows, bronchiodilation...but its not really euphoric, unless your an adrenaline junky.

the reason for the two names if i'm not mistaken was that the word adrenalin/adrenaline was trademarked (at least in the US if nowhere else) and as such other products could not label their products as adrenalin, even though the material was the same. so a new name for the chemical was created - epinephrine.

both are identical in chemistry and effects in the body. its an endogenous hormone.

After seeing Crank, I'd say epinephrine is a lot like methamphetamine, but much, much shorter acting. About 30 minutes or so. I'm pretty sure methamphetamine binds to the same receptors as epinephrine. They have some differences, but them acting on many of the same receptors leads me to believe adrenaline gives a rush like meth.

If you have Epinephrine, shooting it seems to be your best bet. Careful though.
