Need advice in lighting some candles, specially when the moon is proper and the right colors to combine.

Who is an expert in this?

Who is an expert? Aliester Crowley. See his Liber 777 for an extensive list of magical corresponedcies.

Lunar candles sholud be white in colour - black for the new moon.

A simple candle lighting ritual:

Light your candle and with the index finger extended draw in the air above the flame an upward pointing triangle, whilst saying either aloud or mentally: " Blessed is the light that is within us"
Next, make a downward pointing triangle, so that both triangles if they could be seen ( and you should try to visualize them) would form a star of David, say: " Blessed is the light that comes amongst us".
Join your hands, or make Indian gesture of pranam, and say 'Blessed is our being, One in Light".

Enjoy. And of course, feel free to embelish or change according to your own inner will and knowledge.

If you would like me to elaborate on the inner meaning of this ritual, please fire away with any questions, which I'll do my utmost to answer.

A roomate of mine back in 75 was obsessed with his philosophies, and I admired him (roomie) because of his many talents and success.

While there is much science to be learnt, I have found over the years that when we act with pure hearts, out of love and deep yearning for for the divine, the effects are always good. When acting from purity, the inner spirit guides our hands and everything happens exactly as it should.

advice on lighting candles:
1) Strike match
2) Apply to wick of candle. NOTE: do not perform steps in reverse order.

I have learnt:

Do not burn candles on decreasing moon cycles,
only when moon is increasing.
Burn two at once. Of different colors.
Use wooden matches, never lighters.
Do not blow them out, but cover them until extiguished.
For peace, light a white.
For increase of luck, yellow and green.
For love, pink. Red for vitality.
(that reminds me)

Purple, well that is for depth and spirituality.
It has always been my favorite color.

i use a piece of spaghetti when i can't reach the wick with my lighter.
be sure to use them away from loose fabric, including curtains. be aware that wax can stain, so don't use it on expensive stuff (at least expensive stuff you won't mind being depreciated). keep out of the reach of children and animals (kids, like kittens, tend to get everywhere).

true, further considerations are to make sure nothing flammable in immediate vicinity and do not leave candles unattended
