SP asked me to post this(and any of his other e-mails which I've identified as coming from him) on HipForums so that folks would see why it is so important to participate in the whole Gathering process. A large part of the problem this year is lack of participation. I personally heard some folks express their displeasure with the possiblity of another Texas Gathering & wondered why they didn't particpate in Vision Council if they had a different vision. Some folks claimed via computer that areas had been scouted when the areas had not been scouted. More physical participation gives the Spirit many vessles in which to express the truest Vision.
At the end of SP's post are directions which will work for either of the possible sites.

The reality of site selection is: It has been very
difficult in that there is limited available space in
such a large area to begin with.
With all to political BS and Agromania going wild
participation and support was limited and hindered.
Folks at their computers made demand for participation
yet nobody participated. Claims of who had the 'right'
to call counsel, or claims of not being included were
followed by announcements of counsel, without
including anyone outside their, unidentified group and
accusations that what other folks were doing was
valid.
This progressed to 'We have scouts that are not being
consulted or included.' Followed by attempts at and
claims of what was happening was, again, invalid. Non
participation and boycotting -for lack of word-
scouting rendezvous, meetings, counsels, by whatever
name. While calling for, and demanding scouts, for an
ANNUAL Gathering, attend, a counsel outside of the
area of Vision Consensus.
THERE are NO fucking REGIONS. No regional voting
blocks or representative bodies with claim to or
authority in regards to "RAINBOW GATHERING", pERIOD.
No Host Family, but, surely, local individuals, folks
who plug in, trying to facilitate the site selection
process by hosting individuals scouts coming to their
area in more ways than I'll delve into now.
But, for any individual or group of individuals to
claim rights of authority to insist that the Annual
Gathering Process be subject to their, or any ones
approval, or even consultation upon or by demand is a
LARGER FICTION THE THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DOMINANT
SOCIETY. Make no doubt about it?
and now, The Rest of the Story, and purpose of this
writing.
The ScoutS have located a satisfactory area inwhich to
GATHER. So, Relax. No matter how it is stated there is
a Welcoming Home! HOWEVER, all sites have there
peculiarities and there are THREE, oR TWO other "May B
Better" for one reason or another.
So, PLEASE, STOP the DUMBSHIT and Prepare to GATHER! (note from Cinnamon:this was not meant toward HipForums folks)
The OUTSIDE LOGISTICS ARE THE SAME NO MATER WHAT SITE
IS USED.
TRAVEL:
Folks on the ground can head for the Jasper Area. It
is within 60mls. to the farthest site area.
There is free camping along the Buffalo Access Area
outside of town. Folks from the counsel sites are
heading there of are there. Some folks are remaining
at the counsel sites to clean-up and redirect
arrivals.
Some folks, concerned about Spring Counsel, are
looking at possibilities in the Jasper area. When a
Counsel and Camp are ONE things FLOW and the hundredth
money is in effect. So, I would suggest, any one who
wishes to be part of "Spring Counsel" head to the
Jasper Area Now.
I would, however, call a friend, who is online,
morning afternoon and night, because when "gathering
is IN the FLOW" there is a natural progression or
progress.
That IS, no one is waiting for a Counsel "date." The
SPIRIT WAITS FOR NO ONE!
It should be understood that this only happens when
the TreeFrog Clan are in unison with "GATHERING FLOW"
This happens when Forest Service Resource Folks are,
being consulted and are working with Gathering
Volunteers from the beginning of site selection. -as
they they have been and are doing so as we speak. It's
been a long time.
Some in the forest service as well as some gatherers
think this is a new idea or endeavor. IT IS NOT - it
is the way it used to be.
Excuse me, Those traveling by air the choices are
obvious. Little Rock, Fort Smith, for those with 'the
cash' or a desire to land at treepig staging area.
I'm told, but know nada, Springfield MO. and Memphis
work.
In the MeanTime, either, GET WITH the PROGRAM or
BECOME PART OF IT!!!
