Though I am fairly new to many of the ideas, I have a very positive view of New Age ideology. I get the feeling it's like a people's religion; by this I mean it encourages one to find their spiritual way, supporting whatever works for them. In the New Age section of the book store I see books on all kinds of subjects, so it gives me the impression that people tend to say "Hey! Look what I found, this works for me, let me show you..." rather than "this is how it is".
Also, when I think or talk about New Age related subjects (Auras, tarot, etc.) I get this feeling... it's like, a sort of intimate feeling, that me and the person I’m talking with (whether or not I know them) share a bond of trust, of knowing a part of each other’s deeper self… It’s kind of hard to explain; does anyone know what I’m talking about?
Are there like, New Age groups or, well, what? At this point, the only place I know of to discuss things on the subject are forums and the ocasional random conversation (there was Tarot reading at this recent anime convention, haha).
