YAY! [adderall]

I received Adderall IR 10mg pills today. 60 of them! If anyone remebers me asking about Adderall awhile back and telling everyone when I got Adderall XR 20mg, well in finally got what I was looking for, the instant-release! Unfortunately it's still ampheatmine salt, and not even pure dextroampheatmine. I think if I tried to go further and get Dexedrine, they'd think something was up.

I might just tell them that the salts just make it last too long, but I'm very content with what I have right now.

Is that stuff basically ritalin?? I ask because I get 60 20mg instant release ritalin from my shrink each month. :) Does adderall have the same effects?

Adderall is Dextroamphetamine. It's a lot like ritalin but in my opinion, much more euphoric. I take 2 of these and feel amazingly awesome and get stuff done at like a million miles an hour with unparalled effiency. It's nearly the perfect drug in some aspects, but has the absolute worst crash I have ever experienced. Lasts from when I crash till I go to sleep. Feelings of extreme depression and how life is so dull. This is solely what keeps me from doing it every day or every other day.

Amphetamine is serious stuff.

I used to do a lot of adderall and ritalin, and I must say, I prefer ritalin. Adderall is too harsh. There is always at least a 6 hour period after the fun effects of the drug wear off and I feel like shit, emotionally and physically, and I can't get to sleep. Ritalin, on the other hand, is a lot more like cocaine, as far as the good effects go. I never got the unpleasant crash that I do with Adderall. I've sworn off adderall for the most part, unless I have a big project I have to get done for school and I have little time to do it in. I was diagnosed with ADD my freshman year of high school, so I've had just about every form of amphetamine and methylphenidate prescribed to me. I was taking hero doses to get the fun effects, though, and it got to be pretty unhealthy.

EDIT: Ritalin seems like it isn't as fun, until you take the higher doses. Try focalin (dexmethylphenidate), it is instant release, and it is twice as powerful as regular ritalin, with less undesirable effects. I used to take at least 40 to 50 mg of instant release ritalin at a time. It gave me the empathogenic effects of mdma, surprisingly.

Haha Methylphenidate was very cocaine like. I used to snort it all the time before I ran out. I'd snort like 30-40mg before I went out (they were 5mg pills, so I ran out fast). Evneutally I got to the point where I'd go a good 100mg+ to get the euphoric effects. Then I ran out, and that was that. The crash for me on Ritalin is incredibly bad, and not only did I feel like shit, I'd enter a state of psychosis identical to amphetamine psychosis for a few hours, usually one or two. It was absolutly insane.

I agree with you that Adderall is harsh. It's VERY harsh. You feel amazing for a few hours and then it drops you on your ass. I never noticed such a drop with Methylphenidate. It's not a come down for me, it's more similar to falling off a 500 foot cliff. I even have the feeling of falling in my stomach, then i'll feel like shit until I go to sleep. I can't help but love how fun it is to be cracked the hell out on it though, lol.

The wonders of stimulants, =PYeah, I was on Concerta at a time (12 hour time release methylphenidate), and I was prescribed 108 mgs a day. At a time, I was crushing 3 54 mg pills and parachuting them all at the same time. Sometimes I would stay up for days, and experience the associated psychosis (walls breathing, pulsing, things moving across the floor, etc.) It was all very bad. I don't do "feel good" drugs any more, except for weed. Stimulants fucked up my life worse than I could have thought, so I'm just staying away from them now.

I'd been using adderall and ritalin for about 2 years before I did coke for the first time, and it wasn't anything special. I did 3 times as much as my friend, the cokehead, who gave it to me, and all I felt like doing was fighting. I was also very paranoid, and there were really no pleasurable effects. I've only done it 3 times, and I don't plan on doing it again, just because it costs so much and it wasn't very fun. I think the novelty of doing the drug, which I viewed at the time as being a sophisticated, mysterious thing, was more fun than the effects of the drug itself. I am basing the ritalin = like coke attitude off of experience reports and other erowid info.

Yeah I enjoyed the fact I was doing coke too =P. It is insanely expensive for the amount of cocaine you're ACTUALLY getting. In comparison Dexedrine or Ritalin are far cheaper and more effective in that respect.

Oh yes, I love my adderall too. I get prescribed the 30 mg instant release adderall. It's quite a fun drug. I dont usually crash at all on them, but it does put me in these bad moods somtimes when I comedown. I get frustrated easily. Other than that, its almost the perfect drug IMO.

I've had a very long history of Ritalin use, so they just gave it to me after a small physical. Originally I had intended to use it for fun, but that has shifted to mainly using it for school because it's just so amazing. However I do occasionally use it for fun while I'm out.

You might have to get evaluated, and ADD isn't visually obvious too much. I wouldn't know how to go about faking it though. If your doctor is cool, he'll just write you a persciption when you tell him you'd like it because you're grades in school could be much better. You find yourself not paying attention a lot and lacking motivation.

I don't like ritalin everytime I do it I just feel like I drank a cup of coffee and it makes my chest hurt. I snorted up to 50mg before to see if it did anything and swallowed 70mg and it never makes me feel high or anything.

edit: these ritalin pills are my brother and he was prescribed to them in 2000 and im taking them now in 07 so do me think that's why they don't work?

No. If they were stored in a dry place, they should work fine. Yes they have an experation date but generally pharms stay good for a really long time. I once read of somone finding Morphine (IV) in his grandfathers attic tucked away with '62 on it. He injected it and it worked fully.

Doing too much Ritalin results in overstimultaion which is very unpleasent. Try snorting just 20mg's at first. People do stimulants to feel the euphoric rush in general. That's what you should get. If you feel overpowered by it, and paranoid and crazy, then you're over-stimulated.

I guess my body has a natural immunity to stimulant effects.

hey i got a question, i have add and anxieties so bad i was taken outa school, and im soon to be put on dissablility, wut mg of wut add medication do u think i will be put on? of course im not gunna abuse these cause i need them, but still wut is your opinion?

It matter what your doctor thinks. it could be Ritalin or Adderall, but whatever it is, it will more then likely bu a time-release version. Just tell your doctor what you want.

I went in today to try and get some Adderall.

I got in the mind set that I needed the drugs by thinking of the symptoms, but acted like I knew nothing about the drugs. I tried to get in an energetic mode and acted a little fidgety and let my eyes wonder. The doctor came in and acted like I was a drug seeker right of the bat, asking where my parents where why I was here in a very stern way and asking what I wanted to leave with. I just stuck to my character and left with a prescription for 20MG XR, I have an appointment in a month to talk about the affects and see if its working, i plan on letting the doctor know that I take them in the morning and have trouble falling and often have trouble falling asleep at night.

As soon as the doctor told me he was prescribing me the with a drug he said its very controversial and people make a huge fuss over it and he didn't know why. He said he used to take it for exams in school when it was not as controlled. He continued to say that I should not tell me friends about this drug as many kids use it to get high. I looked shocked and he said to not worry if it is right for me I would not get high but become normal. He then asked me if I had any questions, I simply asked what the drug was and he said its a stimulant called Amphetamine.
