This is a poem written about the muslim woman, taken from islamway.com

What do you see
when you look at me
Do you see someone limited,
or someone free
<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

All some people can do is just look and stare
Simply because they can't see my hair

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

Others think I am controlled and uneducated
They think that I am limited and un-liberated

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

They are so thankful that they are not me
Because they would like to remain 'free'

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

Well free isn't exactly the word I would've used
Describing women who are cheated on and abused

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

They think that I do not have opinions or voice
They think that being hooded isn't my choice

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

They think that the hood makes me look caged
That my husband or dad are totally outraged

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

All they can do is look at me in fear
And in my eye there is a tear

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

Not because I have been stared at or made fun of
But because people are ignoring the one up above

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

On the day of judgment they will be the fools
Because they were too ashamed to play by their own rules

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

Maybe the guys won't think I am a cutie
But at least I am filled with more inner beauty

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

See I have declined from being a guy's toy
Because I won't let myself be controlled by a boy

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

Real men are able to appreciate my mind
And aren't busy looking at my behind

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

Hooded girls are the ones really helping the muslim cause
The role that we play definitely deserves applause

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

I will be recognized because I am smart and bright
And because some people are inspired by my sight

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

The smart ones are attracted by my tranquility
In the back of their mind they wish they were me

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

We have the strength to do what we think is right
Even if it means putting up a life long fight

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

You see we are not controlled by a mini skirt and tight shirt
We are given only respect, and never treated like dirt

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

So you see, we are the ones that are free and liberated
We are not the ones that are sexually terrorized and violated

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

We are the ones that are free and pure
We're free of STD's that have no cure

<=><=><=><=><=><=><=><=>

So when people ask you how you feel about the hood
Just sum it up by saying 'baby its all good' ;)

Completely the opposite. The robe was designed as a way to keep muslum women in check. In most muslum coutries the men are very controlling and jealous. And as for the quote above, the reason why the statistics are kept so low is because women are afraid to report the rapes. In most muslum countries, the woman is found guilty of instigating the rape/sexual assaultand then imprisoned, stoned to death, or even ordered to be raped by the perpetrators family for bringing shame upon their family. The koran condones and encourages violence and sexual abuse of women. There are cases going on right now in the United States, England, France, etc where Muslums are in outraged because they're male family members are being tried and convicted for killing their daughters for "shaming" their family for such acts as getting their ears pierced or not covering their head. Murdering your own daughter/wife for very minute reasons is condoned by most muslum factions around the world. Look up "miswak" or where the koran talks about how far a man can penetrate a child BEFORE it's considered abuse. I hate to break it to you man, but the truth about islum is finally getting around and people aren't buying the lie anymore that islum is a peaceful postive religion.

What do you know??? Just a bunch of nonsense to make all the insecurities in your faith of your God look better??

I have several family members in Tunisia who choose to wear the hijab. Some do, some dont. The robe/ burka is a disgusting creation by the evil Taliban. Alot of Muslim women choose to cover their hair and remain modest. It is not because they are forced to but alot of times it is choice.

Tell me what do you think about Nuns covering their hair?? Or certain orthodox Jewish sects where the women also cover their hair???

Also in the Quran there is nothing about women wearing hijab....

That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed... [33.59]

"In most muslum countries, the woman is found guilty of instigating the rape/sexual assaultand then imprisoned, stoned to death, or even ordered to be raped by the perpetrators family for bringing shame upon their family."
I´ve been to a couple of muslim countries and I must say that I disagree completly to what you say and I´ve also noticed that alot of the muslim countries has stopped stoning people which I oppose but for you to say that an innocent[raped] women would be killed or be ordered to be raped by others is unaccepteble.

"A woman who had committed zinaa was brought to ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him), and he asked her about it and she admitted it, so he commanded that she should be stoned. ‘Ali said: ‘Maybe she had a reason.’ So he said to her, ‘What made you do that?’ She said, ‘I had a partner who shared livestock with me; his camels had water and milk, and mine had none. I got thirsty, so I asked him to give me something to drink, but he refused unless I let him have his way with me. I refused three times, but I was so thirsty that I thought I was going to die, so I gave him what he wanted, and he gave me something to drink.’ ‘Ali said: ‘Allaahu akbar! “… But if one is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience nor transgressing due limits, then there is no sin on him. Truly Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” [al-Baqarah 2:173 – interpretation of the meaning].’”

It further says in a fatwa(islamic answer) by Shiekh Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid: The answer is that her case is like that of a woman who is forced to commit zinaa, to whom it is said, ‘Either you let me have my way with you, or I will kill you.’ The woman who is forced to do this should not be punished;

This phenomenon of families killing their daughters is not something that could be related to this religion, it is prohibited for someone to carry out such a punishment without the goverment ordering it. This is how it works all around the world, if someone were to kill one of your family members, this would be a case for the local police to solve and not for you to go and punish the man himself.

The robe/ burka is a disgusting creation by the evil Taliban.This is completly wrong, the burka or niqab has a huge value in islam. The women living during the life of the prophet(peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) used to cover them selfs up in long ropes and covering their faces. If you were to travel to some muslim countries such as S.Arabia you would notice alot of women wearing burka or niqab. When I was in Syria I saw alot of this type of veil around the neighberhood were I lived but if you were to go to main Damascus people are wearing pretty much the same as women here in Europe.

If from a very young age you are expected to wear a burka or hijab

Or you are never given a view of Islamic history apart from the one that paints Mohammed a child abuser slaver rapist as some kind of saint

no wonder you "choose" to wear a hijab

I know ex Muslim women who have been forced to wear hijab or burkas

I think its still legal to walk around in a Nazi uniform so I suppose its only fair that people can wear this type of crazy cult uniform but my opinion of the people stupid enough to wear them is about the same

the whole issue isn’t just about wearing hijab or burkas in the west if you read my thread guidelines for new Muslims you will see that these types of costume are to separate Muslims from the inferior non Muslims whose countries these Muslims have come to

Basically that says what I said. What muslum countries call a woman commits "zinaa" non-muslums countires call that being raped. We call her the victim/survivor, and you call her the perpetrator.

Commited zina means that she did with another man what she does with her husband, and by being raped well... she commits zina but she will not be punished for it if she was forced to do it.

LAME! Johnny2mad get some other freaking sources besides your shitty FAITHFREEDOM. Go read the effing Quran and come up with your own conclusions because you are too narrow to think/research for yourself.

You think you know but you and the other dancing Jesus guy are so blind in your cozy untraveled life. You are arrogrant and hateful to Muslims for no reason! I have been to those countries, these people are family, I speak Arabic for God sakes, and they are GOOD PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND I. STOP DIRECTING ALL YOUR SAD INSECURITY ISSUES, BY TRYING TO MAKE YOURSELF SEEM BETTER.

You are no better than the evil closeminded Muslims, that ruin it for the good ones. Stop pointing your finger at others, and look inside yourself. How are you so pure and great? All you do is just rant on weaknesses and silly notions of what you think you know. If it bothers you so damn much than get off your ASS AND DO SOMETHING. GO TO THOSE POOR EVIL IGNORANT COUNTRIES AND ATTEMPT TO SHOW THEM HOW WONDERFUL KIND BEAUTIFUL FORGIVING YOU THINK YOU ARE.

There is enough ugliness in both books. What is your freaking point? Should we gather them all up and gas them? Would that make you feel better, because Hitler hated those EVIL JEWS, and he found everything wrong with them.:rolleyes:
