Up until now, I've gone through school thinking I would get a job as a computer programmer. Lately, I've been thinking that sounds like a horrible job. I am going into my senior year of highschool, and continuing a computer programming class. I was going to take music theory, but they decided to only teach one semester of it. My councellor reccomended that I keep the computer programming class. I had said I was thinking about doing something with computers as a career, though really my desire to do so had faded. I only told her that because I had no idea what I DID want to do. Now, I think I would like to write. My writing isn't amazing, but teachers have commented that it is good. Good or not, I enjoy writing. I still have no specific idea of what I want to do. . . Journalism perhaps? I don't really know. I don't think my parents will spend the money on an expensive liberal arts college. So, uh. . .what the hell do I do?

Try and go with what you really want to do, the writing, because when all's said and done you'll be gutted if you get stuck in a job you hate. It looks like you're in a really tough situation, but I hope you manage to find a solution. :)
