I wanted to know if anyone knew what I should be, I don't really like organized religion, I am vegan, I do not belive in harming ANY living thing for ANY purpose, I belive in being kind to everyone, I LOVE plants and animals, I think God is a Goddess (female), I belive in reincarnation, I belive in karma, and I think Jesus had dreads (also all for mary jane).

do I like have and start your own religion... you know you are allowed to do that.
Personally I tell people I'm Wiccan (it gives them something to grasp to verses me going into too many detailed details about my "religion"/spirituality). So, maybe you could do the same. After all, it's not about what you call yourself and it's not about what other people think about what you believe. It's about whether or not you are comfy with what you believe.

you could always decide to drop the labelled paths of thought and try your best to learn from every situation you experience, though i would suggest you act out of love and compassion as often as possible.

Try Heaven's Gate, I heard they are accepting new members, go buy some sneakers and a bag and you are set.

what you stated really isn't as far as i can tell some sort of known "religion/Philosphy" other then wiccan as he stated above. but honestly i would go with the view of free minded spirtuality, because if you have read previous topics as such to restricting yourself to a religion...you can see that your views are out there and you should basically go with free will of spirtuality.
But yeah, thats what I would say but you do need to make the descion for yourself and not let to many people influence what you believe and so on.
If this seemed like i was bashing you in any manner i apologize or any other belief, i had no intentions of doing so.
umm....
why conform to another's views?
get your own!

You sound like a druid to me. Maybe you should look into it? It really interests me and I can understand their worship of the earth, sun, etc etc. You of course don't have to worship anything to be a druid, just be kind :D

Looks like you already have a beleaf but no name for it. You really dont need a name as long as its yours. You could call yourself a wiccan, pagan, druid, or trouble maker. the choice is all yours.

being part of a religion could kinda shrowd you're own personal beliefs
i consider my own personal beliefs semi-buddhist semi-hindu
i share some things in common with buddhist beliefs, and the same with hindu
then again those two 'religions' are more seen as a way of life than a religion
just follow what you believe, you don't need a name for it, you don't need to go to a place of worship, just follow your true beleifs and not ones you think best suit you
i hope this helps some :)

you dont have to be anything,
soaringeagle
05-25-2007, 06:54 PM
like he said you dont have to be anything your beliefs can be your own
personaly, my belief is that to claim to know the truth is the ultimate blasphemy
so to be a seeker of the answer to the ultimate question is the true spirituality,
theres no path to get there but your own, however most paths can give alittle guidance when lost
what makes sence to you?

I got one you got to know about.
like said the long long haired guy, seeking is highest spirituality and following oyur own path. But, what if you really found the answer?
If oyu dont beleive you can do so or that such an answer exist then there is not much point nor honesty in seeking, rigth?
I was a seeker, I found the answerSSSSSSSS.
And i got to make a blog or board or thread in this forum about it, cause until now i dont have told it to anybody.
What I found out is pretty heavy and complicated and so dead simple oyu wont believe it, and it is its simplicity and obviousness that will make it really easy to integrate and understand and see how all kindle to it.
I didnt found it, more like i received it at the end of a life search, while not expecting it at all since some time, and after having dropped all the rest, and really made me opened for anything and everything.
I think its because of that that this miracle happened.
I had simply made me completely ready to can receive it, by having removed the last barrier in me who could have hindder me to get it.
And in fact it confirm the exact base of it .
but first i got to make that thread about it, then you will see.
I think that reading it, you are going to die!
I mean of happyness..!
And so will many others.
It was ment to be published, accessible to all the rest.
I do no think people ready yet.. but.. i got to start somewhere or they will never be!
I was lucky that day, I got a 4 hours illumination, a breathrough that lasted 4 hours with non stop answers to all questions i had ever asked myself.
From my personal spiritual experience, I will say:
Nirvana is dead boring and sucks!
Open gates of the Universe rules of constant happyness.
Thats all.
Well the rest i got to post. Its written already, if it can reassure you..
Nobody is going to believe it
its bigger than creation. I really found out, I mean was just handed it, like that, one afternoon.
I want to say that i do not take drugs nor drink and never took trips, i mean chemicals trips, nor fungus, at all.
except maybe for a bottle of super old wine once in brussel, who was so fungos god like, that i tripped my bruxelle with a view from the sky.
with or without castaneda, I did fly.
wasnt planed. just stoped for tomatoe and wine, and got mushrooms with it.
In the wine. i came out of the restaurant, i thought i had travelled in time!
it was middelage.
I will speak about that one soemwhere else.
in short (where?) I wil say that all you got to do is follow oyur heart, and to do so to learn how ot listen to it and recognise when it is from your heart and when it comes form your brain or from other radio channels making white noise all the time, just to distract you.
Develop your intuition, start now, i am sure and absolutly certain that oyu will have no problem in doing it.
Wen i will have posted it, read my thread or blog, and you will have enough for the rest of the road.
With that one I will have both the scientifics and the religious from absolutly all corners and the atheist, on my butt!
Nonetheless it will enlight all. Its super simple. Its more simple to get than to make pancakes. Except that I am not sure if anyone is going to get it at all.
So i will post that thread/board for it, and this way people will can ask questions, and i will answer them, so that i can see what needs to be explain, what isnt evident to understand to all, and also to remove misunderstandings on it, and make the message clearer and clearer, until all can understand it.
That sounds more ambitious than ambition.
You have ask, it means you are a true seeker.
and by means able to receive answers, you gave them to me in your question.
Thank you for your generous help Brainstew, :sunny::)
and sorry for being so brainstein at time,
I like to roar so that it sound,

Why don't you tell people you are a Zoroastrian? Some people won't have heard of that before and it sounds quite interesting and exotic, so they will think you're really cool.

I would go to Beliefnet. They have a very good online Q &A that will help you see where your beliefs fit in with some religions. Try it..you never know.

i would suggest this: be honest with yourself first. then, without causing suffering or harm, whatever you see or hear, however reputable its source, second.

http://beliefnet.com/x.gifThat site has a very Universalist bent. Try taking it several times and answering it as if you were of a different faith each time, I'll bet Unitarian Universalist comes out at or near the top every time. http://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
I'm not saying that's bad, and UU is very accepting of different beliefs. But the test is far from impartial, and I wouldn't use it to "nail down" my faith.

go look on belief net, I thing there is a program to see where you lie on the religion spectrum.LOL I just took that faith inventory and it said that my beliefs most closely resembled that of an orthodox quaker and yet, as I expected, when I clicked on the orthodox quaker link, the beliefs were quite different from my own in many of the categories. I also found it amusing that it said I am a 38% match for scientology, a pseudo-religion that I often enjoy poking fun at. Sorry Tom Cruise, your religion is a joke. FYI, L. Ron Hubbard, the creator of the church of scientology is quoted as saying something to effect of if you want to become a millionaire, start your own religion.
