Death of Mind and Body
Cutting through the settled haze
Her dress ablaze in crimson flames
The lady leaps across the wicks
Her naked feet through candle wax
She dives into the pupil pools
The brimming wells of puddled black
Befuddled by their endless depths
Their spouting founts that spill and fill
Surrounding discs of emerald tides
Which pour across the pallid face
And trickle through the folded skin
To leak into forgotten grains
The last remains of fallen castles
The woman rides through weaving veins
And swims through intersecting lanes
To drown amongst the clashing waves
To die before the clashing waves.
Cutting through the settled haze
Her dress ablaze in crimson flames
The lady leaps across the wicks
Her naked feet through candle wax
She dives into the pupil pools
The brimming wells of puddled black
Befuddled by their endless depths
Their spouting founts that spill and fill
Surrounding discs of emerald tides
Which pour across the pallid face
And trickle through the folded skin
To leak into forgotten grains
The last remains of fallen castles
The woman rides through weaving veins
And swims through intersecting lanes
To drown amongst the clashing waves
To die before the clashing waves.
