At school all week you could sign up to participate in a day of silence which is to help protest violence in school. It took place today. I only know of one person who actually followed through on it.

That sounds like a really groovy idea, I'd love to do something like that, but I guess violence isn't really a problem at my school (we're good little catholic girls), at my school everyone just bitches behind everyones backs.

wait, do you mean racial violence or hazing or gangs or what?in my school ive seen all of those use everyday...It would be kewl to do a prtoest against all of that...but most people in my school see violence as the way out...so i doubt many people would protest against it...

It's a good idea, but in my school I would have gotten beaten up for that.:eek:

I did that our school had like 200 supporters... like 50 to 100 people who actually tried to keep silent. http://www.dayofsilence.org/about/participants.php Maine, Gray New Gloucester :D
