it seems that in the bible god is very vengeful...with the plagues and what not...
but u never hear of that stuff happening today and people seem to be getting worse and worse
why do u think that is?

i think because in the past people had a tendency to blame every natural disaster on "god getting revenge." flash flood? god's pissed. earthquake? have you been fucking your sister again? poor crops? vine rot? what the hell is wrong with us, god is furious! we have a better understanding of natural disasters now. while i believe that god will strive to make good things happen for those who love him, we're also a part of this great earthly machine, just like the rest of the animals.
