There is an important distinction to be made here. I find that many people confuse top/bottom with dominante/submissive. The truth is, they are very different. For example, I myself am a complete, total, 100% bottom. Nothing better for me than my legs in the air, or bent over the bed. Here's the thing, however. While I tend to be more submissive, especially in life outside of the bedroom, when we get in the bedroom, I find being dominant very, very much so a turn on. And trust me....as a bottom, I can still be very dominating. :)

The versatile = bottom thing was used as a gag in Six Feet Under, so I guess it might be a joke in Instinct. There's also an argument that says if someone is versatile, they're more likely to be the sub because the dom is possibly the more desirable position. I can see where they're coming from if you think sex is about power, but I prefer not to be that person.
