I found this on urbandictionary, im not sure if i should believe it. especailly the second paragraph, but it sorta sounds right......

DMT has been found in the blood and urine of humans, blood levels of DMT are not changed with an increase in brain levels of DMT, endogenous or not. (Check out DMT: The spirit molecule by Rick Strassman). There is also not proof that the brain actually produces DMT that Im aware of, there are other organs, eg lungs, that have the correct enzymes for DMT production, though not in as high quantities as the pineal gland.

Also smoked DMT comes on in 15-20 seconds and can last up to 30 mins before youre back to baseline

having made the stuff,
& spent many years looking into it on a large scale, dmt is found in the human brain through out your entire life, it is thought that when you are awake your seritonin levels are very high, the penial gland produces dmt, & you may percieve this dmt as {oh i just had an idea moment}, when you go to sleep & your seritonin levels drop of by about 2 thirds, the penial gland still producing dmt becomes pecieved with more clarity, & thus you are more likley to awake the following day saying {wow i had an amzing dream !}, the difference in types of dream created by dmt is that nn dmt will create more colorful experience, & 5 methoxy dmt is not colorful but gives you the feeling like you are sitting in the presence of god, hence every ones penial glands create different mixtures of both 5 methoxy & nn dmt giving us all different dreams & thoughts,
beta carbolines is worth looking into if dmt interests you, but be careful as playing with this can kill you if you dont know what your doing !.

i think dmt has helped me a great deal when it comes to making colorful art

People more often have what shuglin calls "+4" experiences on 5-meo-dmt than any other psychedelic... which is probably what the guy is refering to when he says better than cocaine etc. But they really aren't comparable... at all. Like it's impossible to full explain how completely wrong and misleading that statment is.

You do feel reborn... since being on DMT (especially 5-meo-DMT) is similiar to dieing... you loose, well, everything.

The whole idea that it separates conscious and unconscious mind is just weird and vauge... but I can definitely say it is nothing at all like dreaming while being wide awake.


Just do some research. That paragraph basically contains all the speculative info and old rumours about DMT, and multiplies them by 10.

Most of what I would say has been said, but I also wanted to point out that I don't see how anyone thinks Salvia divinorum is a psychedelic. Given my experience with the subjective effects, the supposed objective effects, and the pharmacology of it, I would think it would be better to classify it as a dissociative or possibly a deleriant.

Also, the idea that Salvia's effects constitute a lesser-extreme is exceptionally subjective.

People need to stop comparing salvia with dmt all the time, I really dont get it. Sure there both short and intense but so is crack if you smoke alot.

That doesn't make it not psychedelic. Psychedelic is a sub-group as well as the group name, just like New York is both a city, and the state that the city is in.

Salvia is not at all a deliriant.

Deliriants are just fucked up.

I'm going to have to say it is TRUE.

I also recently have written something very similar in the psychadelic section called 'LSD and DEATH' that you may all find interesting if you are still questioning this theory.

i believe a smoked dmt trip lasts 5-15 minutes not 15-20 senconds...also i agree with whoever said salvia is more of a disociative than a psychedelic

A good smoked DMT trip lasts more like 30-40 minutes until you're really sober. You feel sober as soon as you "wake up" though, cause what you went through was just intense as fuck. The last of my waviness & patterns is usually gone around 35 minutes or so, though.

it really feels like hours though right??? im kinda affraid to try this shit...like ive only done L twice...only really tripped once...
