I make my own pipes. I have ash, persimmon, bamboo, soapstone and catalanite bowls. The stems are exclusively native dogwood. I use a red hot rod and a special technique to make the stems and I am quite good at it. The longest one piece stem is over 20 inches long. I carve the bowls to suit me and have given away a few. I refuse to sell them however. Bamboo stems are very easy to make but split with time so I stick with dogwood. I learned to use dogwood making arrows with my grandad.

persimmon wood makes the best bowls. The grain is very fine and the wood is hard as hell...hard to carve, too. Osage orange is good too but there is a pith down the center and as I like to use medium size center cut limbs this becomes a problem. For screens (when necessary) I go to Lowes and buy replacement faucet screens (nickel) for a couple of bucks and scrap everything that is not screen. I do not smoke pot as I am one of the extremely rare human beings that is apparently alergic to it. i become violently ill if i toke. I do smoke other herbs including native tobaccos. I have had people call me a liar when i tell them i am alergic to pot...only to (in a few rare instances) prove it to them. i burst the blood veins in my eyes once trying to show some asshole that I was being honest about it and haven't done it since.

If its regular weed that is not expensive or Ghetto Weed that I buy in weight like a oz,1/2, 1/8 etc or in a nickle or dime bag 75% of the time I will roll up a blunt. I usally use a optimo or a backwood cigar to roll my blunts if not them then a Dutch. If its dank weed that I am buying buy the gram and spending alot of loot on I like to smoke it out of a glass bowl or a clean bong so I can get the full taste. nothing worse then a dirty ass bong that taste like ash tray. every now and then if I am rolling in the dough and am in a great mood, I will roll up a blunt of Dank to pass around !!! But that is not to often because real good bud cost just to much $$$$ to waste on a blunt.

the all glass (except 2 rubber grommets and the plastic 2L cap) bubbling aqua lung...the only problem is it can really remove some of the flavor of the kind, but it hits HARD and smooth with maximum effect..

Anyways, I smoke out of glass bowls usually. Sometimes we like to roll up a jay or a fat blunt too. And of course, you gotta love the bong :)

I smoke out of anything that gets me really ripped, except home-made shit, I cant stand that.

still, i voted a for pipes. i have a pocket sized purple pipe made of metal. i got it for like $10, but it is the best pipe i've ever smoked off.
bongs are a wonderful treat..
i have a love for joints too, but i'm not the best roller (can't do much apart from one-pape fatties).. some of my friends can do some really crazy looking joints though..

I like bongs just as much as the next person. Its actually my favorite way to toke. However, I do not like obnoxiously big bongs. Whats the point?? The smoke is all stale and you choke your head off. I for one don't like choking when i smoke.

usually use a piece, just because i dont own a bong (although I wish I did). Grav bongs are great and conserve so much which is why thats my second most used paraphernalia. Js are great for relaxin but thats less common for me. My old bubbler was the greatest; alas it rests in piece.

I use joints a lot more than bongs, pipes etc. I know the others can give a much higher quality smoke but I can't carry them around with me. Joints are pretty simple to make too so you can just make one while you're walking along or, if you were born with a third arm, while driving. Good for when you're on the move.

I don't smoke anymore, but when I did, I really enjoyed smoking out of a pipe. I feel there is much more control by this method, and I really enjoy the taste which isn't effected in nice clean glass pipe. Yum.
