I'm well buzzed and influenced by impressions from a violent movie, but was invited to visit here, and thought to myself at the time I should come today (the same as I was invited. but I missed it by approx twelve minutes). whatever. I am here.

now is now, and I don't differentiate.

I am feeling a bit settled into chaos this evening. locally, we have a hurricane coming. and I find this most useful for now. I hope that it will not be a big lesson, but as I know big lessons come when most un-wanted, expect the worst. wtf?

how are you?

Heya Scholar Warrior,

Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner.
I often find some of my best communication is done in silent listening.
Though at times I seem to suffer the reverse and run off at the mouth.
One of the best depictions I've seen of a II was a 2 sided card - one of a quiet meditation and the other with hairfully raised doing similiar to the lions pose; and though I do not like generalizations in general - seemed apropos.
Sometimes I'm spinning my wheels, trying to accomplish; other times I gently look on and Do as it comes without the stress of trying to accomplish, just relaxed in the doing. And god, I Know which one I like best.
So is hurricane season over ? I know we had plenty of fallout from the first one - not quite as bad as Agnes in what '71/2 ? We've had 2 extremely wet years and all complaints of a low water table have long since disappeared. Work goes slow in mud.
You ever get a break from running on the wheel trying to gather, and feel a yen to come north - Fall's a wonderful time - more dry than the rest - wonderful colors and crisp air and NO bugs, once the heat dies down. Me I'm strapped to that grindingstone with a 7x delivery route, it's hard to find anyone to substitute and I can't afford to let go of such a nice routine (Out the door around 1:30AM and back in about 4:30AM except Sunday - out around 12:00AM and back around 4AM), having hocked myself as far as they'd let me to try to jump start this community attempt thing.
Went to your web site early on after you came aboard and thought we might be of somewhat like mind - hence the invitation to peruse what I was about.
So a break in a silent time for me - sometimes what come out after a silence is better kept to the silence - aye ?
Peace be with you - And with your spirit too.

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence

"Fools", said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed
In the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls"
And whispered in the sounds of silence

There are not many truths, there is one truth, and that truth is Silence.
All truths come from Silence. All truths exist as Silence. All truths return
to Silence. So there is only one truth, and it is Silence. Silence is behind
every holy thought, behind every holy word, behind every holy act. All
holiness is Silent.
Enter Silence, and you will see the world that Spirit created. Enter Silence,
and you will see that you are that Spirit, the creator. Enter Silence, and you will see that you are that world, the created. Spirit, the world, and you are one and the same in Silence.
This is what all sages know and say: enter Silence, and leave yourself
behind in the rubble of thoughts, and time, and death. Enter Silence, and
become the creator and the created. Enter Silence, and life is suddenly
real—beautiful and perfect in each curve and angle.
This is called awakening, awakening into truth.
