Glassel Gig, Scotland's largest charity music fesival!

Glassel Gig, now in its 7th, year is the Northeast's largest 13-hour open-air music festival. Live music in the midst of the glorious Deeside landscape is what the Glassel Gig is all about.

With 2 stages of some of the best live bands coming from all over Scotland, playing non-stop through a powerful 15K sound system for 13 hours, the 'Glassel Experience' won't disappoint you!

All the money raised at the event goes to support a host of local charities and causes and we have now donated over £90,000. The music featured covers everything from Rock, Pop, Indie, Cajun, Blues, Ceilidh-Rock Bluegrass and Folk. There really is something for everyone and plenty of room on the large dance floor to shake your bones. Face-painting, hair-spraying, street theatre characters and dancers all help to produce the electric carnival atmosphere.

Each year the event sells out to a capacity crowd of 3,000 people of every age, from toddlers to totterers. Featuring a 70' long bar with afull range of drinks, a dedicated kids bar which includes sweets, soft-drinks and toys and a wonderful B-B-Q with local meats and vegetarian food, you can be fully refreshed all day!

The Gates will open on the28th August at 12 noon and a festival of music will be provided throughout the day until 1 am with a fireworks finale. For anyone who enjoys quality live music, a ticket to the gig is an absolute must!

The thing is, nobody goes for the music. It's really all about the large field where everybody just sits and gets hammered on their drug(s) of choice. Better than glasto, better than leeds, and better then T in the Park.....
