Anyone here ever heard of Alex Harvey?? He's dead now but he fucking rocked. Someone I was working with awhile ago lent me all his albums. I've finally got into them properly just now. It's like real bluesy rock with a fun twist. The first two albums Framed and Next are fucking brilliant. Great to listen to late at night when you're drunk and stoned. Anyway, just thought I'd share that with you. I'm sure I won't convert any Busted fans :)

What were his dubious political views?? I've never read any biographical stuff about him. I'll pretty much forgive him anything for those first two SAHB albums.

was to the right of maggie thatcher by all acounts. interesting aside, one of the vocal effects that the last SAHB album was praised for was created because he was two drunk to stand up so he sang thro the bass drum mike.

Yeah, I hate finding shit like that out about musicians I like. I'm a bit of a Neil Young fan, I remember reading that he's been thru some serious right-wing phases too. He was pro-Regan for one thing.

I think musicians should be banned from holding political views!!!!!

No way. Most people in that state would say screw the song and just pass out. He had the quick mind to sing into the drum mic :) Ingenious I tell ya :)
