We sit here wasting time thinking about gods and demons and bullshit that might not even be real, why worry about it? look at nature and space and the earth and animals and people!!! divinity around us all, lets take that not some theology or some mythology created thousands of years ago, i mean come on religion is fun full of good morals and things, but people spend so much time worrying if they are in the right religion or not, and if they're going to hell for being wrong, who cares? if there is a god then wouldn't it want us to experience its creation and have fun and be happy? come on!!

same reason you posted this, man. it feels good to be heard and get feedback on your thoughts. i agree about the worrying-that's a good point, man.

Don't worry, be happy. One of my favorite songs ever.

what we need to care about is how to avoid screwing everything up for each other.

all the revealers of organized beliefs, whatever those beliefs may have been twisted and corrupted to since then, cared and where highly motivated by this same concern, even to the point of honestly believing they had a message directly from an infallable god, that even their own lives were worth less then the importance to them of trying to convince everyone of.

i cannot say if they were or were not delusional, nor judge the infallability or lack of it of any god, but i can say, what burned in their hearts and drivingly motivated them, was absolutely right on.

it IS up to us to avoid destroying our colletive selves. and now, more then ever, we are in danger of doing so by OUR OWN often short sighted and thoughtless hands.

but we cannot expect some god or gods, however fervently we pray, nor how fanaticly we pay lip service to one revelation or another, to take the place of the homework, it is up to all of us to do.

we do we care? why should we care?
not about god or gods, but about the kind of world we inflict upon ourselves and each other? because it is us, along with all of life of every form we have ever known, on the only planet our own particular species of life form has ever lived on.

if we blow it, there are probably others elsewhere, on other worlds circling other suns, those pinpricks of light we see in our night sky are each of them the sun of some world or worlds, but they'll never know we ever existed, not if we just stop carring and allow our short sightedness to destroy ourselves.

i've heard fez sing it on that 70's show, loved it haha. also heard the real version, but who sings it?

i wasn't saying why do we care about life or about talking on this board but about faith in general, i mean some of us worry if this or that religion will put us in heaven or hell, who cares?

Bobby McFarren. everyone cares to some extent about death and its meaning. it's the place noone comes back from. it doesn't interest you? i agree that worrying doesn't help. i just don't think most of us can help but wonder what comes next.

im interested in that stuff but honestly the more i thought about it the more i got stressed and wasted time wondering about what could be instead of what is now.

perhaps through understanding one, you can see both. the now is all there is, but maybe this reality isn't. maybe we can't see everything that is going on right now. maybe this is why people search. we are both on the same path-you looking in one direction, me in the other. i actually don't really have any disagreement with you about the now. language is funny that way, and it is important we are careful how we judge other's perceptions of their now.

couldnt have said it better. its natural to be curious about it but i see no point in worrying, if you worry to much about going to hell or whatever you missing out on life itself, enjoy it.
