now I know that Toto is probably going to be everyones favourite, but I really liked Belinda the talking hen, why couldn't Toto talk?

the hen was in the book where she fell overboard on her way to oztrailia, or someone did. knowledge recently gained, incomplete, and thus probably dangerous.

a little ankle attack dog, or a ... chicken. makes me think of that smother's brother's routine, "mother always liked you best".

well if i could pick another one of the stories, just cause i like the idea, though i don't know who'se companion if anyone's he was yet, i'd go with the glass cat.

(there was a blue glass fox in a totaly unrelated, or was it, story on elfwood once upon a time, or was it in analog, that anyway was totaly cool. or my befuddled mind is mashing togather two or more stories i've read long enough ago to not be sure if i am or not)
