What's your favourite crystal?

Okay, okay, I know it's hard to narrow it down to just one - you don't have to, but you can... any faves?

My newest fave is moonstone, I just picked up one saturday whilst downtown at a greekfest....

I like moonstone too, My favorites are Jasper, Obsidian, onyx, malachite, Quartz. I love em all!

Carnelian... one of the original birth stones for us Leos. Citrine and Amethyst are in a close second place tie.

LOL just realised that apart from quartz, tiger eye and possibly Carnelian, those are the crystals I'd use as names.

I suppose my absolute fave is Rose quartz.

found pebbles would top my list. around here that usually means some sort of river-smoothed sandstone. just whatever stone i happen to pick up when i need a magickal focus.

smoky quartz, lodestone, hematite, bloodstone, fairy cross, onyx, obsidian (for skrying), emerald, and agates, especially moss and tree agates.

how does everyone use their stones? i'll post my uses if other people post theirs.

I just carry the appropriate one around in a pocket like a talisman.

Spent most of my exams with a chunk of hematite in my right hand* and that seemed to help with nerves and focusing. Before that I'd used amber to help me remember notes.
I got some for my brother, he'll really need it.

*The other one had the pen in of course :)

I would have to say Quartz and amathyst. I recently bought a house and as i was digging the flower gardens and vegetable gardens i found massive amounts of mostly quartz crystal but some amathyst and I found i was drawn to this property and finding those crystals helped me realize it in a different aspect. I still can't believe how much i found

I have so many stones! I guess though, that my leopard skin jasper that I got years and years ago is a fave due to the fact that it looks like there is a face in the markings. Also, a sodalite that I got years ago. They were my first stones. Also, I have an egg that I am not sure what it is made out of but I use it for healing. Anytime I am hurt/sick I hold it in my hand and I feel better.

I have several necklaces made with individually tied round stone beads and I wear them depending upon the particular energy I need that day. For days when I know I will be dealing with negative people, I wear Tiger's Eye. For days that I am going to spend with someone I love, I wear rose quartz. My everyday beads are moonstone.

Wow, interesting thread! I like shiney stones myself. So far I have a star sapphire, and a tigereye.

I've heard that the star sapphire is linked to the Goat of Mentis, is this true? If so, is this a bad thing?

I love amethyst, Moonstone, tigers eye, lapis lazuli, labradorite and turquoise.
