i'm sure anyone who watched scooby-doo (is that hyphenated?) as a kid remembers all the spinoffs-jabberjaw, that show where the bizzaro versions of daphne, shaggy, and fred solved mysteries with their little dune buggy that had eyes and a mouth...i know there were more, so help me think of them! one of them even had a dog, i think.

I think that was Speed Buggy. Jabber Jaw was a takeoff on the shark thing, I think.

The shark thing was crazy in the 70s. The Fonz even jumped over a shark on an episode of Happy Days. Then there was The Land Shark sketch on the original Saturday Night Live. 'Who's there?" "Land Shark!"

I think I remember a Scooby-doo rip-off called The Real Ghostbusters. They had a weird dog, too. He wore a wool hat ala Mike Nesmith.

I like the spin offs okay, and actually I just watched the sonny and cher episode this eve lol

My fave is seeing scooby and the gang meet up with the Addams family - it has the voices of the TV show addams but they are drawn like the Charles Addams orginals. Good stuff!
