Okay, this is probably going to be the quietest thread in the whole of the forum...Even next to "I'm an inbred and proud!"
So, ask me something you didn't already know.

Well, at the moment I've got my pre, and post-university plans all set out.
I'm currently doing English Lit., History, and Film Studies A Levels. Whilst doing them I'm attending short courses in Cardiff university, one of which is an Introduction to the Beat Generation, and after that I'll do some courses on Creative Writing. Thus, leaving me with alot of additional things to put on my Uni. CV, as well as the straight A's I'm working my ass off for.
Then, after going through uni. studying English Lit. and Creative Writing (hopefully Bath Spa, or Birkbeck), I want to go to China to teach English and become a teacher.
Who knows how much this will change, but at the moment I'm working my ass off to achieve this.
...Slightly naive? Maybe.
What do you guys think?

How would you characterise your political views? Are you a politically minded person?
L.A.Matthews
02-04-2007, 03:15 PM
To be honest, I wouldn't know what kind of views I have in a Left/Right wing sense. I'm very tolerant when it comes to other cultures and views, and very much welcome it, although I believe in keeping the heritage of Britain/Wales as a British/Welsh country. Of course, that doesn't stop other cultures coming here, but I think we should pride ourselves in our own culture before welcoming others with open arms.
If that makes sense.
Left Wing, or Right Wing? What do you think?

So, what made you cut your hair?
L.A.Matthews
03-06-2007, 11:18 PM
Well, I had just broken up with my then long-time girlfriend, and I felt like I should change. I was far too immature, which led to the collapse of my relationship. My education and ambition in music was on a fast road to nowhere. So I decided to change my choice of career to something else -- that's when I chose the Army.
The Army, I felt, was a means of escape from my shitty life in Wales, and also something that gave me a belonging feeling. However, at this time I was still immature, and was only kidding myself. This is what led to me cutting my hair.
Not only this, but it was the whole circumstance surrounding it.

Where will you go when you die?
L.A.Matthews
04-02-2007, 10:57 PM
No idea. I try not to think about death, because I think too deep about it, and then question the meaning of life...It gets confusing.
Lately I've been thinking that everything in life is all in my head and created by my subconscious; a figment of my own imagination. For example, I have no way of proving anyone else exists other than my own mind telling me they do, because if everything is a figment of my imagination that means that so are you, and everyone else. Perhaps I've created this false reality which includes the worlds famine, diseases, politics, et cetera.
Yeah, I think too much about it and then I question my purpose of being, and the only answer I can come up with is nothing: I have no meaning.
