View Full Version : Why do people judge bi people?

I have felt a lot of judgement through the years that has made me stay away from the gay community... because if I like guys too, Im not "gay"... so many seem to think "make up your mind"- DUH, my mind is made up!
And then the people that think about the trendy type of club/bar scene girls that just wanna kiss girls for fun or to be attractive to guys... no, no no, that's not it..
Im REALLY bi. Why do people on both "sides" judge?

going back to what we where saying.
I think some gay people fear the straight part of being bi and some straight people fear bi's because they don't want others to see them as being gay.
its all really silly, because I think if it wasn't so much a stigma, most people would admit being attracted to both sexes to a greater or lesser degree.
that certainly makes more sense to me than most people being attracted to only one sex wether that be gay or straight attraction

I hear ya babe... the pick one thing, and then the assumption that because you describe yourself as bi, you must want to have threesomes all the time *sigh* ridiculousness

Thanks Sam, for the thoughtful reply. It made perfect sense and something that I suppose I really knew all ready but it was nice to hear clarification/from someone else. :)
I'm still greatly interested in hearing others opinions however.

i'm not sure. people tend to take me or leave me, with very little commentary either way. but when you're not feeling fully okay with yourself, you tend to find someone you can consider beneath you. anyone can fall victim to it.
