weight for me

i think it might be time
my time
to consider a line i've heard
many times before:
"that as often as I travel
I carry too much weight"
waiting has always been hard to do
I'm the type of person who needs to move
so how can one
be weighed down to the ground
If constantly in motion
body thrown around
like I can pack up my life
in a single suitcase
like my mind body and soul
can be thrust around
without being tolled
I'll never give it another thought
and if I keep the beat
my heart won't have to..

I've met many beautiful people
I've seen many breath taking places
I've been real low, and I've been real high
I've collected names, faces, jokes, and love
I've collected ideas, stories, trinkets, and hugs
and though I can fit my clothing in one case
I've collected this beautiful heavy grace
and I'm beginning to feel the weight

I'm beginning to find the ground.
Perhaps, for once, I'll try to stick around.
