Should I keep my mouth shut? (A bit long)

About a month ago, my 17 y-o cousin came out to me as bi (and to her mom a bit later). I met her girlfriend, and she seemed like a nice girl for my cousin.

Anyway, M (cousin), was supposed to email me today and she didn't. When I opened my msn, K (gf) was online (she added me), and written under her name was: I love you S.

I'm thinking that M may have not emailed me if she broke up/found out she was being cheated on if she was too upset.

However, her msn still says: I love you K, so maybe she's clueless. I wrote her an email, even if she's sleeping, asking her if she was alright, telling her I was worried.

She is my favorite cousin, I love her deeply. If she doesn't know, should I tell her or let her find out by herself? I really don't know what to do. Thanks in advance...

Geez, I just looked again at msn, and she changed it again, putting M's name instead.

Your cousin will resent you if you try to convince her that her gf is cheating on her....let her bring it up first...

I have thought about that, but I would feel guilty if she stays with that girl, and then learns much later that she was playing her.


Plus, I'm afraid that she'll eventually know that I knew. I don't want her to be mad at me.

It looks like a lose-lose situation. She might get mad no matter what I do...

And there is always the chance (as unlikely as it may sound) that the "I love you [some other person]" was meant in a friendship way.

It could be her sister or her best friend...my sister and her little friends always write that kind of stuff on their IMs.

Just casually bring it up. Say something like, "So, who is S?" And if she asks why you want to know, tell her where you read it.

Are you sure it wasnt a friend of hers? Or maybe if she has windows live messanger and she used the second area (<type message here>) she could have singed in on a computer she hasnt been on in a while.. Dont rush to conclusions

I love you S isnt strong enough evidence to accuse someone of cheating.

I'de defintely mind my own business, if I were in your shoes. You don't know the context of the situation. If it's visibly clear on the IMs, I'm sure your cousin has seen it as well. S could be anybody, including a good friend, sister, etc like others mentioned. By mentioning the gf as a possible cheater, you could be prone to some unwanted drama. Yup, I would clearly not mention it.
