Is Adderall XR any different than normal adderall?

I know XR is the capsule and beads and normal is just a pill.

But if you open the capsule, is the adderall inside the same exact thing?


Just wondering if say 30mg of XR (w/o the capsule) would do the same thing as 30mg of regular adderall.

Well I think they last 12 hours b/c of the capsule. I'm wondering if the beads on the inside are the exact same as regular or not.

All I can say about the XR's is they let you down and bring you back up at random parts of the day.

i would disagree. im not sure its the same shit youve got. but i had some of those extended release ones once, and they were shit. even if you crushed them up. it was like they manufactured them to make them less recreational, thats without considering them being in beads. hard to explain. basically they didnt give me the same effect. but again, yours could be different ones... so theres really no saying, and i just waisted my last minits typing

you have to crush them up really well, take the powder and put it in a tissue and "parachute" it. its just as good as normal believe me.

Any ideas on how to crush these things up with something you could carry in your pockets? I've tried putting the beads in cellophane and scraping with a lighter on a hard surface. Doesn't work too well. These things are too damn hard to crush.

coincidence... i just took 2 30 mg adderall xr today for the first time and went snowboarding. i didnt like the feeling... just gave me the spins and kinda made me rude and aggressive. just had a major head buzz. also made me really talkative its been on and off randomly for like 8 hours now... im kinda sick of it. my advice sell them to someone else and get some weed or real amphetamine.

followup -- i was up all night last night with a headache, massive drymouth, insomnia, irregular breathing, and a fast heart rate. add adderall xr to my list of shit NOT to do ever again.

ive heard a lot of stuff about the beads being really harsh on your nose, and not actually breaking down properly. i dunno though.

id suggest using a mortar and pestle, making a powder, and parachuting, as suggested previously.

or just take them normally if theyre strong enough

Time release drugs are not from the containers. Adderall XR is a combination of four different amphetamine salts, each with different metabolizing rates. One will hit you right away, then as it is wearing off, the next will come on and so forth. Grinding and parachuting and all that is actually very worthless. Just eat it.

Adderall XR (eXtended Release). First when you get your prescription for adderall XR it says that if you have trouble swallowing then the beads can be put into applesauce as long as you dont chew them. So opening the capsule wont have any difference. Second, parachuting is absolutely the way to go recreationally. I've done it and it works better then any thing else (taking reg. or snorting). If any one is having trouble breaking them up (the beads) heres how i've done it.

get two pieces of paper and empty the beads onto the first and cover them with the second (so you dont have any runaways)

Put a credit card or any card of that matter ontop of the second paper on the beads.

then use something heavy, i found a stabler worked well for me.

crush them up and you can hear the beads popping when you do so

scrape the beads (which usually stick to both papers) back into another pile

repeat.

i usually had to repeat about 3 times until you go the orange powder.


I ended up having my doc just switch me to the IR's (instant release) twice a day which works so much better. No more aniexty or paranoria. hope this helps someone.
