Survey: how do you make chai?

I tend to cheat a little and put about a dessertspoon of Yogi Classic to a teaspoon or two of black tea into an ordinary teapot, fill with boiling water and then decant into a thermos about half-and-half with hot soya milk. Most fortifying for that peace march or whatever. Though doesn't really compare with the genuine article, which ideally should be drunk scalding hot from a tin cup on Bombay train station.

Hmmmmm I tend to make chai by heating up some milk and some water... adding a tea bag or two. Then wack in some cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla. Let that brew for a while at a simmer.

I use regular tea bags!!!!! Make it really strong, put a lot of milk in!!!! add the chai spice which I got in india and then put loads of sugar in!!!!!!!!
