Here's another one of those interesting e-mails.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
howdy,
i am passing this info along, sent from gb... i have left
off some names, i believe if folks want to fill in these names then
they can do so... Garrick Beck <garrick@nets.com (garrick@nets.com)>
for any further questions... i put in my four cents...
the point is, that some $ were donated to scouts, as gb
says, in the "tradition"... to the scouting hat, then used by scouts
for scouting..
Magic Hat accepts all donations... i have advocated, inmy
raps, if the FS wants to issue a Permit, it could come to the
Gathering, lst of July, donate it to the Magic Hat... Annual
Gathering accept all donations...
At times, Sheriffs, FS of all kinds, even LEOs on duty have
donated to the Hat, dropping dollars in (some of them have a
heart)... as long as there is NO STRINGS attached...
Donations to the Hat are visualized, by me, like this:
A hand, anybodys hand, everybodys hand, nobodys hand... or
any of the Invitees... reaches out over the Hat, the Hand opens,
their hand opens, her hand opens, his hand opens,
the Donation drops into the Hat...
The Hand withdraws... a Donation of the Magic Hat of the
Rainbow... NO STRINGS attached...
Some folks have a hat for "personal hats"... that may have
STRINGS attached:
some folks put in a Hat and says this is only for
vegetables, no meat, or tobacco, alcohol, or no alcohol, or only for
kid village or their own kitchen.. etc...
gb fair witness is this scout $ is just a donation, no
strings to the Forest Service, officially or unofficially... with
Mark Rey, officially or unofficially, just an individual, jeff,
putting in a donation, that is earmarked for scouting...
however, traditionally, when a donation is made
for scouting, then beyond it going to the scouting, there is NO STRINGS...
i appreciate gb clearing up this rumour.. apparently, all
this stuff is info that "everybody knew"... but i am sharing it... a
report is being prepared on all the scouting... shared sometime down
the line, and more info will be shared on Scouting...
i am familiar with a number of the folks who volunteer to do
scouting... and, as folks know, in the past, anyone whose name come
up for doing scouting (as well as other stuff) have been targeted for
citations... hence, if these folks want their names out there... it
is up to them...
to me, the folks who do scouting, have been up the utmost scrutiny
for years over every step in their process... i have trust, both in
these folks, and their INTEGRITY.... i have scouted with these folks,
lived in scout camps with them, etc... wild folks, most of
them... all VERY PROTECTIVE OF THE FAMILY'S energy....
so i know the donation, once it got to the scouting
hat... any strings, inadvertently webbed on the donation, once gone
through the scout filter (familiar to all scouts, well kept secret,
come to scouting and you will find out, only way to know, etc.. shh)
anyways, once any donation goes in scout hat.. any STRINGS
ARE AUTOMATICALLY FILTERED OUT...
gb says jeff is just acting as an individual, gb believes
this, believes jeff is doing his best for the family... and i would
like to see that happen... gb knows jeff much better than i do... however...
however, if there is any (filtered out) strings, that can be
followed back to the FS, or Mark Rey, through Jeff, who i advocate,
has acted as an "envoy" , on behalf of the FS, for Mark Rey and the
FS... concerning scouting... (i wrote this in my letter october 30 to
mark rey.. asked him, and received no denial... ) then, if there is
an actual connection... then, odd stuff going on.. games afoot...
either way... i am glad to know... no blame...
and if everybody already knew all this... then this must be
boring to you all...
moving on... tks,
beaplunker
