This e-mail came from Peacetribes today & asks that it be shared, so here it is:

About once a year, one way or the other, about this time, i
reckon i must be failing to communicate, to the forest service, all
their helpers,
AND, to the people in the family who got their paths they
are on == in this case mainly writing about digging legal shitters
etc -- and their helpers,
AND generally, i believe that rainbow style, thoughts,
writings, emails, all the stuff going on between peoples into this
"long, strange trip" on the Rainbow Path travel along the Rainbow
Network of folks in touch with each other through the Rainbow
Experience. This means then, EVERYTHING comes OUT eventually, is
shared Rainbow Gossip style (blend of fact and fiction), gets sorted
out by every concerned Rainbow, and everyone is concerned -- if folks
are traveling the Rainbow Path going to Rainbow Gatherings, being
Rainbow Family, eventually, they will hear everything said,
everything written concerning every Rainbow Gathering, everywhere on
Earth -- and it takes very little vibration to travel clear around
the world through all the Family - wow!! please consider this for a
moment...
Yep, just like at Annual Gathering, when something happens,
it seems like everyone knows, somehow, the Rainbow Telegraph, email,
internut, gossip, this or that... somehow, and it seems LIKE MAGIC,
and it is!!!!
Consider what happens when someone comes through the Front
Gate, often folks all over the Gathering know this or that one or
family is Home... yea! And when the Federales come as Storm Troopers
or in Peace as Resource, the Word is passed... many eyes, many
ears.... many mouths, many feet...
Rainbow Family Tribe is of the Imagination -- i magi nation
(meaning of the magic of being in unity - a translation) So I open
this SPEAKING TO THE TRIBE, to the RAINBOW of Earth and beyond, and
specifically, to folks wanting/doing Rainbow Work/play:
Our ways of communication, of reaching consensus - our
agreements that we verbally and actually live and share with one
another -- our way of being with one another, in Gathering at Home
and away Gathering on the Roads, through other Gatherings, Rainbow
and others, all this is our shared path, our shared reality, our
shared ideology, our shared vibrations, our shared energy.... and
everyone of us, you, me, and everyone else always shares with one
another every little bit of the TRIP... because SHARING IS THE
TRIP.... my best vibe is, if you are doing Rainbow business,
communicating with the feds, planning operations, doing this and that
for the Family, for the Gatherings... then SHARE THIS INFO, with your
Family, your brothers and sisters...
you want to hang off to the side, get your shit together,
practice your show... okay then, after this getting your own trip
together, and you got something you want to have happen that involves
other brothers and sisters, in this Family you are in, then comes the
time, please PUT your SHOW out to the People, your brothers and
sisters... Sooner is always better than later...
If you work out something with the Feds... no matter how
small, if it ain't your personal, individual business, AND it is
something gonna have an impact on the Family, the Gatherings, etc., et.al (http://et.al/). then please, be not afraid to come forth, speak up, share the trip...
Recently, a very clear example of someone acting, sharing stuff
out, was when David Alexander English shared information on his
contacts with Forest service's envoy Jeff Kline... and through
subsequent sharing of the information DID THE RIGHT THING...
All this stuff going on with the Forest Service with Jeff
Kline and Mark Rey... any and all this stuff OUTA be OUT in the
OPEN... scout moneys, whatever... how, what when where and why.... NO BLAME...
The Feds have been seeking ways to manipulate Rainbow for years
and years... in 1976, Montana, they sent in a psychologist to study
us, like in a zoo.... to figure out ways to fuck with us... no
blame... if the Feds sidle up to you... please let our Family know..

(2) Why is the Govt suddenly wanting to work things out with
us "accommodate" Rey letter to me (to me... by the way have any of
you all written, or got a letter back???)

The Feds ain't doing all this because of the Cactus Case - right
to spiritually associate in expressive practice ....
(3) AND NO, it ain't all because of the Circus in Court... Feds
are avoiding substantiative arguments through dismissal on
technicalities.. this has continued to be the Fed patter i.e. Texas
1988... I, (the only defendant) and (Rainbow who got named as the
mass) got the right to Gather ONLY because they Feds didn't give a
long enuf comment period before instituting the new regulation...
period... Justice Justice wrote oh yeah you got the right to gather,
AND be regulated by the forest service... when they do it right... so
the Forest service is ALWAYS, by every Court, going to get a ruling
where they have some rights of regulation... Thomas v. Chicago City
Park Commission settled that...
(4) if there were a favorable situation, for us, FS is going to
move on from the hang-up over how to fill out the application i.e.
with someone/s signing a special use permit..
and move on to some other form of regulation, which is what they
are up to NOW...
basically, Forest Circus wants the Gathering to become their
own Event... sponsored by them... etc.. i.e. they sign APPLICATION
AND permit...
the legal answer to that is, of course, SEPARATION OF CHURCH
AND STATE..
And there is plenty of legal evidence that the Rainbow
Family Tribe and Annual Gatherings is a Spiritual, Religious with
Petition, Event... the Forest Service opened their Suit against me
in Texas 1988 with their evidence of the religious nature of the
event and my involvement as the perp.... every court ruling, in every
case involving Rainbow, has the words in it like "gather for prayer
and worship,..." etc... "religious group" etc...
The Annual Gathering is a prayer, petition for peace... the
FS can not legally sponsor such an event... so this idea that the FS
would disagree in court is ridiculous.. the Prose in my case in
Montana, expressed that i was religious, but that didn't mean i could
stop traffic i.e. Employment v. Smith... now with the Cactus
Case... i could, perhaps get a waiver, and accommodation, to stop traffic..
(5) So now I will get to what is, to me, the ACTUAL REASON THE
FOREST SERVICE IS CHANGING ITS TUNE:
If you read the Reports on the gatherings in the last
several years, you will read that "the long time rainbows (elders, as
the FS calls them) just can not manage, control, influence the
younger, tougher kids who are the predominant people at these
Gatherings":.... something to that effect...
John Twiss, now head of Law Enforcement, in Utah 2003, told
me personally that there was no discipline, etc... nearly mirroring
what was being written into these Reports UNTIL THIS YEAR...
yes, folks what i believe is in the report now, after Colorado 2006 is this:
SOMEHOW, THE OLDER RAINBOWS MANAGED TO CONTROL THE YOUNG RAINBOWS
NEW TACTICS MUST BE DEVELOPED
Now, you and i know that us older rainbows did not manage to
control any of them young rainbows... like me, likely you are barely
able to manage yourself let alone manage anybody else.. and control
ain't my bag nor is it the bag of any other True Rainbow... i spend a
lot of my time trying keep my own ass under control... as most folks
do... and thanks to all the brothers and sisters who share all this
and by giving and sharing vibes with me, help me to keep my shit
together... when i blow it, like most folks, it ain't pretty... and
the Gatherings are a place where i always am looking for support and
good vibes... which puts me on point;
The young Gathering People, those amazing, fine young brothers
and sisters, ragged but real as they certainly were... even the hard
core, getting down, roll around, tussle if you must, young brothers
and sisters, and the ole hard core crusties, somehow, through their
own personal efforts, and because a whole bunch of folks, long time
family, and peace activists spoke up, lived up, and ASKED, OPENLY:
for 'PEACE, WE WIN"... NO BLOOD ON THE LAND AMONG US, AND
THAT GOES FOR ALL WHO COME ON BOARD, FAMILY AND FED ALIKE...
And the younger people, and the older people... all of us
together, all the generations of the Gathering, came together in
Unity in Peace with Just Us being with one another... and the Feds
damm sure pushed it to the maximum and they went after and beat on
the young un's that is for damm sure... and they damm sure did their
very best to hurt the Gathering people and the
young un's they picked out special... BUT, after a couple of tussles,
where the Feds managed to get shit going.... and folks, plus Shanti
Sena (people who been there, done that before) did the good deeds,
and peace rolled up...
The sight of folks doing "Non-violence training" in the Meadow,
role playing, etc... teaching people peace way... wonderful...
long-time shanti sena folks, new folks, young folks, older folks,
generations learning peace, non-violent ways... all this helped...
folks wanted to do Peace...
The young uns' showed RESPECT for the Rainbow Way of
Gathering.... and many of them young uns' have been with us,
Gathering with us, for many years.... some of them been coming to
Gatherings all their lives... many of them are as much 'olders" -
Earlys - in the Gatherings, as many of us are - and they have been
there, seen that, and know just how messed up some of us long time
folks are (still not getting along, how silly)...
AND, this year, among the "earlys" there was a lot of laying
down the silly shit taking place and folks, long time folks with long
time this and that, stuff, baggage.. set their bags down and stood up
for the People in Solidarity.in (http://solidarity.in/) Respect.. and the young folks saw
this... and responded in turn...
They saw that we, you, me, many of the long-time family
coming together, being together... and they saw us "looking out" for
them, looking after the Gathering, they saw we were for real...
in this coming year of doing Rainbow Business, digging Legal
shitters, whatever, please folks, remember that the young folks saw
us for being real... so did the Feds...
and the Solidarity of the People is with us, as never
before... so take heart... do the doo.. and keep the people informed,
keep the generations in mind, keep the solidarity and unity, please.
And if you got something going that is Rainbow Stuff...
remember Respect is Sharing the Trip... ain't nothing you or anyone
can do for the Gatherings without the rest of the folks having a
say.... please be Cool, let us not have a "failure to communicate" at
least with one another, sister, brother.. whoever...
