my father was a member of his flight crew during ww II in india. my dad was an american but all the brits planes were in england doing their thing against the germans and the americans were in india for operations against the japs in burma. my older brother was even named "louis".
i've always had a great affinity for indian culture... for instance, as a young kid, while all the other boys and girls were riding around on bicycles, i was wanting to attach my wagon to the back of their bicycles and get pulled around... early on as well, i took up the practice of yoga and meditation if any of you were wondering where my spiritual developments came from
knowing my father lived in india for a bit, i asked him if he ever recieved a blessing from a holy man for me to be his son cuz the western hemisphere seemed so foreign to me... he replied the only blessings he ever got were from the prostitutes and so that is how i understand myself to be, an incarnation of the blessings of the prostitutes of india
my father, of irish american descent (our family had some problems growing potatoes in the 19th century) was saddened upon hearing of montbatten's death from the ira... kind of like the loss of an old drinking buddy, although he only knew montbatten professionally and was always at "attention" at his comings and goings, he said how quite a bit of the booze intended for montbatten and the american generals was able to divert to himself and the rest of the flight crew
