Okay, folks; I've waited to post until I had at least a half a line on all that is going on concerning Rainbow 2007. I've been making phone calls, talking to a zillion folks & doing everything I can to get the basics and this is what I've come up with:

TG in Austin-Well, we were at the Enchanted Forest on Thanksgiving Day. There was a nice potluck meal, with extra prep from some of the Kiddie Village Crew. Not a whole bunch of folks in attendance but there were some old Fam from Parking Lot, Scouting, Water Crew & some in the 'high holie' catagory. I didn't get permission to post names, so please respect this & don't push for names. I will say that Kalif did want everyone to know that he was camped under the money tree (and he did give permission to post this). Not much else happened that day but some folks chatting about various issues in small circles. I have gotten a few rumors on what happened on the following days but I am still trying to get confirmation from other folks who were actually there & will post more once there is further confirmation.

TC at Billy Creek-not much info on this one other than a)Chink Bob Lee is 'dead'; Zeke threw him out in front of a mack truck on hwy 71...if you know Chink & Zeke you'll understand what I'm saying...if you don't, well don't trip on it; it's not as bad as it sounds. b)there was a lot of action across the border from Fort Smith & I personally doubt that much really happened at Billy Creek.

There is also a matter of some old Fam who will not be attending any Gathering in AK, OK or TX...and this is that split that was spoken of in the recent "Rainbow Gathering 2007 be" thread.

Folks, input is needed!!!! I'll be posting some polls in the next few weeks & it would be very cool if everyone would encourage as many Fam as possible to participate in these polls. It won't be a council but good solid polls with posts by folks who have a recognizable Rainbow psudonyms would be very helpful in getting certain folks to understand how different folks feel. I, for one, want nothing more than a safe, healthy Gathering and this is why I volunteered to help network.

Let's work together Family, Participate!!!!!

If you check on the Texas Rainbow chat group, I think there's downloadable copies of sites suggested by FS, but don't quote me on it. It was posted by SP on Sat, I think. But I believe that actual site selection won't be discussed until spring...I was told that a big reason that tgc was set for Austin was so that the FS could not push Family into the site reservation spoken of in the proposal.
