question on full moon drum circles

so the next full moon is next monday (?) and every full moon rainbow family puts on drums circles on blacks beach in san diego. i was wondering if anyone knew if the drum circle would be held the weekend before or on the monday?

all the info you'll ever want about black's beach full moon drum circle is there.

the idea is to have it as close to the actual full moon as possible.

also, having "more people" only means more trash and more booze as of late. i'm happy it's on a monday, maybe it'll only be 200-300 people to clean up after instead of 400 or 500+.

now, if it were more "hip" people, ahhh, they'd be like they used to be.

right now it's almost a battle to keep the circle going, there has been serious talk of shutting it down for a while to clear out all the disrespectful alcohol/trash energy, but what would the kids learn then? nothing. so, this month there will be a tighter and more focused "welcome home" crew to give people the "raps" and some love up top before they can go down the cliff, and, there will be more focused circles down at the bottom where the raps can be given again.

^^ i totally agree with you in that when there are a lot of drunken idiot people just looking to get "fucked up", it trashes the beach and creates a hectic atmosphere. i hope they dont stop the circles though, the moon is such a wonderful thing to share!

there was a council about the full moon drum circles a couple weekends ago in the park, maybe a dozen or so people sat in circle for a couple hours about it.

no real consensus was reached, but various ideas and viewpoints were exchanged about the monthly event.

was at the same balboa park spot the sunday circle happens.

there's also ongoing circles about a "san diego family reunion" taking place in in the spring. (literally took 3 or 4 hours to get that far.) i think the vision so far is to be smaller than a "regional", but larger than an informal "camp out", maybe as many as show up at black's, but for a long weekend with a kitchen or few going. if it goes well, then maybe next year try to make it a "regional" if the energy is there. scouting will be happening soon!
