i felt this was out of my ordinary "style" or comfort zone

anyways

yellow piece of ribbon lying on the ground
covered in dirt, just a little, but under the sand
it sits, lies, on the ground, sitting there
being there and just lasting, everyone
passes by unaffected in every sense of the
word, choice, a matter of freedom at hand
to pick up the ribbon and give it a story
allow it to roam and collect all the hearings
and gather its bearings to become part of life
granted by the hand before it reached out
and touched on a soul that existed, that exists
and that will exist, as long as there's witness

Interconnected essence, yes indeed,
All is energy and all is equal in essential worth.
May the stars bear witness from above.

This poem made me think about how one thing leads to another, and how each choice we make in life affects everything else, even something as simple as reaching down to pick something up, that if we hadn't done so, could have remained in the same place, unnoticed and covered with dirt, for eons of time. Instead we interceded in the fate of something (or someone), and we picked up the ribbon, and washed it, gave it to a friend , and now it is a symbol of love. Every choice we make in life does affect everything else, and nothing is without some signifigance. Thank you for sharing.

I love that... thank you. :)
It is every little thing- little ribbon...little dirt...little people..that don't notice-for the ground takes up much space, and distractions keep us from looking down or around us...at all those little things. Where has that little yellow ribbon been? What was it before it became what it is in the dirt? On a present to a little girl, sick in the hospital? Was it part of a tape? "CAUTION...do not enter...something has happened here!" Was it peice of clothing that someone now wears with a part missing..
? It is a story... a mystery...that will forever keep the inpsired enlightened.
