The collapse of the Twin Towers were no regular implosions. What we see are explosions with material being ejected at forces strong enough that steal beams were left sticking from neighboring buildings. All the concrete from the buildings was pulverized into dust, which was dispersed across Manhattan. The buildings fell at near freefall speeds, increasing speed as they progressed with apparently no resistance from the lower floors. The collapse of the buildings coincided with a massive shockwave that was felt for blocks by eyewitnesses, followed by a pyroclastic surge not unlike what is seen in volcanos. Ponds of molten steel were found beneath the rubble, in the towers' basements, weeks after the collapses. Building Seven, too, which was over a block away and wasn't hit by a plane, also had molten steel beneath its rubble. Fourty per cent of the bodies lost in the WTC collapses were never recovered -- not even body parts. That's because they were vaporized.
The popular alternative belief among the "9/11 Truth" crowd is that thermite cut the core collums, collapsing the towers. This doesn't explain the explosive nature of the demolitions I described in the paragraph above. This could not be caused by thermite alone, and other explosive devices had to be used.
But what kind?

The spectrum and percentages of cancer are massive. In response to this myriad of disease, a statement of environmental mercury has been claimed. That claim is not verified in testing of air and particle debris samples by private citizens and organizations. It is possible the mercury quotes are from the federal source of science, the United States Geological Survey's analysis of the WTC dust debris.
