Dude, you germinated your seeds for the 2nd grow on almost the same day as me! Seedlings popped out of the soil 6 days ago, and are now growing the 2nd set of true leaves. I'll be pulling up a chair on this grow to compare. I'm also going scrog/lst so I'll be really interested to hear how you are doing.

M4n, you need to get a camera soon!

Strange there dosn't look anything wrong with that seedling. The roots look OK. Sometimes you need to break off the shell.

Don't get impatient the Northern Lights#5 is a vigorous plant, often the first two or three weeks seem like an age untill the plants get a good root system and start going for it. I do prefer 24/0 maybee swap back to it if it worked better your first grow. Extending your hours to 24/0 won't do the plants any harm whilst in veg. Wait for the forth week you will be a lot happier, you have a had taste of bud the second crop can seem slow as your so eager. What you growing them in this time?

2nd time around I'm using 24/0, and the growth is so much quicker than my 1st grow which was at 18/6! I'm really quite shocked by it. Glad to hear your babies are doing better now m4n!

I'm growing Northern Lights#5 at the moment. It seems to have a lot more Sativa in it than the original Northern lights. My friend who gave me the Nl#5 seeds has been growing many years and still reckons his Nl#5 is the strongest weed in his garden. If you thought the ICE was OK then the Nl#5 will send you into space. Good luck with your grow.

Sounds like it's all going rather well m4n. I'm jealous of your soil mix, it sounds great. Mine are just going with standard potting soil, perlite and a tiny amount of peat to lower the ph. How's the ph etc doing in your garden?

All sounds good. My skunk seedlings were topped just after 3rd node, and I just fimmed the two new growths today, alltogether five nodes high, and at 3.5 inches, which should mean 8 tops, but I've not fimmed the secondary growth from the 1st node yet, will be doing that on thursday, after which each plant should develop 16 level tops!! Bring on that LST!!!! (http://misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=0#)

My Nl#5 has grown quite tall it seems to have some haze in it. My mate grows nothing else reckons its the strongest stuff out there. Its actually really hard to get hold off the proper NL#5 you have a top strain there.
