What values are most important to you?
experimenting youth
11-01-2006, 01:08 PM
well I'm a vegetarian.
I forgive people if i think they honestly feel sorry.
I think technology is a marvelous thing, I dont think equality would be good, because it would stop lots of people being motivated to do things. etc

What made you decide to go veggie?
If you could vote, who would you vote for?

Why would inequality be a better motivating force? What if inequalities were entrenched? Black people cannot be motivated to be white, for example....

I didn't mean things that you can't change,
I meant things that you could like how hard you work etc
Im veggie because when i was eating meat it played on my mind and i felt guilty.
I don't know who i would vote for, if i was able to i would learnn more about the parties

I know you weren't talking about unalterable differences, such as race and gender, but I thought it would be an interesting comparison to draw. That hard work equals greater economic rewards is not the entire picture, and inequalities of income and wealth are more entrenched than they might seem on the surface. For example, someone working in a shop or a factory full time may work much harder than the business owners who are investing capital and reaping the returns, but their economic reward would be considerably less. It is unlikely that these workers would ever build up enough capital in minimum wage jobs to ever own these businesses outright, and so inequality here is not a strong motivational factor. Conversely, take the example of Venezuela, where some industries are owned by worker co-operatives. These workers are highly motivated to produce wealth for the industry, and thus for themselves, because they all share in the profits of that industry. Equality and co-ownership can prove much more powerful motivational factors than inequality. After all, governments don't simply make equality out of thin air - people have to work for it!
What music are you into?

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time, and in 10 years?
That is both in location, what you would like yourself to be doing, etc.
(i always think this is a cool question ... especially if you write down your answer and look at it 5-10 years from now)
experimenting youth
11-02-2006, 05:23 PM
5 years from now: i might be in education still,
10 years from now: hopefully travelled a bit but as for job i have no idea, i also have to think of somewhere i can do my work experiance, this question is similar to one i got asked in school today, i got asked what my dream is, people were talking about having good cars and large houses, etc i put i want to be happy, help people, travel a bit and see lots of animals. i also want to experiance lots of stuff.
you like these questions but i hate them, i don't know why but i find them really hard to answer, you say its cool to look back later.
when you were years younger what did you put and how is that similar to what you got now?

i still have a letter i wrote when i was about 15 telling myself where i wanted to be in life when i was 21. i had wanted to already have a song published, be touring the world as a performer, and recording on a regular basis. when i was actually 21, i was suffering from such severe mental illness that i couldn't even look at a piano. now i'm nearly 29 (only 17 more days to go) and i'm looking forward to hopefully buying a piano sometime in the next year so i can get back to playing again. i never in a million years thought i'd be living in England, and never thought I'd know now what I do about life.
i take it that you feel life experience and happiness is more than just material possesions? If you could travel anywhere where would you go? Why?
What sorts of 'stuff' would you like to experience?
And with that 'stuff' are you willing to take the bad with the good?
experimenting youth
11-03-2006, 08:37 PM
Yeah I think happiness is much more important than materials. Where would i go and why? hmmmmm. Nepal, coz from what i've been told lots of people havent got much but are grateful for what they have got. that was quick answer if I actually had the chance i would consider much more carefully. stuff: to visit other cultures. Food, music festivals and other things. I guess i gotta accept the bad ain't i?

sometimes i wish i could go back in life and re-live bits of it knowing what i know now. then again, i'd be in a much different place most likely; and i kind of like it where i am.
yeah, the bad always comes with the good. if you are lucky, you'll get a lot more good than bad.
what do you think of fireworks? (since they are all going off around me, and i can't think of anything poignant to ask)
experimenting youth
11-03-2006, 10:26 PM
I love firework displays, but i think it'd be better if you couldn't buy them personally. Also my pets get really frightened about them, i guess thats true for lots of pets yeh?

Hello to you young man, hope lifes good for you.
Are your parents a help or a hindrance ?

Damn Dapablo, you stole my question.:D
Um... I talked to you earlier and you asked me a lot about school and education. What are your grades, and your general school experience like?
experimenting youth
11-04-2006, 06:34 PM
My parents are definately a help. They will always try there best to support me in whatever I do. They've taught me right and wrong. But my views are very different to theres, which is good I think.
my grades are quite good. Im targeted at an A or A* in maths in everything else a B or C and i think i will do quite well, not overly optimistic, but if i try really hard i can get great grades. Almost all my school experiances are good: Sport, friends and lessons. I get told off for being late when i go in with everyone else but am in a different form but thats tiny really isn't it. or was that question to Dapablo?

I wish I was that talented in math, I have the math skills of about a 6 year old...
Whats your least favorite subject?
experimenting youth
11-05-2006, 08:45 AM
I used to dislike art. I no longer have to do it, but when i did i really didn't like the work. I hardly ever done any. we had no freedom to chose what we wanted to make and in that lessons lots and lots of resources were wasted. To me art should use materials people no longer need.
yeh, but now I enjoy pretty much all my lessons.:D

We're supposed to ask you questions in this thread. :)
We live 5mins from a little cove so do spend a fair bit of time on the beach. Me and mine will do a bit of bodyboarding rather than surfboarding.
Have you ever been to Cornwall and have you ever tried the surf ?
