it's about the sound of the bassline... the Roland TB-303.

that tweaky synth sound gave rise to a whole music movement in the late-80's (acid house), a revival in the 90's with breakbeats, and a smaller one over the last couple of years. like vinyl, it'll never die.

wish I could get that track on vinyl...just ordered Funkstorung "Return of the Acid Planet",

gonna spin it out in the garage on holloween night; I live on a street notorious for partying, in this college town between Austin and San Antonio. it'll be nuts for sure.

Phuture- Acid Tracks. That is the original for that acid house shit. Cheeeezy now though.

aka dj pierre. "acid traxx" is the quintessential 303 track, 1987.

larry heard's "washing machine" (although not a 303-based track) is another quirky one from that era.
