Are you a psychonaut?

A psychonaut is someone who likes exploring altered states of consciousness or just different reaches of the mind. I consider myself a psychonaut. Are you? How do you practice? With drugs? With meditation? Some other method? What do you like (or hate) about it? What have you discovered in your exploration?

NOTE: simply tripping out on your favorite drug every now and then does not make you a psychonaut. You have to be interested in new experiences. If you do it too much, it's not new, it's just a habit.

I also learned that the hexagon is a VERY stable structure, and is apparent all around us, and I sensed that the earth has its own frequency (7.83 hz), which is actually increasing...this reflects the current trend in the increase of universal entropy

I reread my OP, and I may have given off the impression that I think people who stick to a particular drug of choice are somehow "less" than those who like to explore a variety of experiences. I did not mean to suggest this. I was only trying to outline a difference. So let me rephrase the difference: a psychonaut, to me, is someone who likes to gather memories of a wide variety of different mental experiences (through drugs or otherwise). If you prefer to stick exclusively to a few particular drugs or mental states, that's fine - nothing wrong with this - but I just wouldn't classify you as a psychonaut since you're not exploring. That's all.

I've tried dxm myself. Not my drug of choice. I described as "too metalic" because of how cold or hard it felt. It was like everything was made of cold hard metal - like if I sat down on my couch, which is usually soft and comfortable, it would feel like sitting on metal.

Could you explain?it's merely low frequency resonance, that reflects ionization energy vs. Earth's electromagnetic field... flux. I figure that the buzzing sound of high doses of psychedelics may be a sensory perception of one of these resonant frequencies, or perhaps audible harmonics of low freq. oscillations

Are you sure? I bet if I poled the population and asked them if they've ever heard of DMT, probably 90% of them would say no. I think TM is still a bit underground - only the drug culture knows about him well.

so true it seems.

Simply giving love or following the tao in every and all situations is my trip; it's really tough sometimes, but with an expanded consciousness or whatev, i'm balanced and that's all that seems to matter right now. everyone's so delicate including myself, i think it's beautiful to give love and more love to people especially who're having a hard time being at peace and watching them feel the tao or the love that's flowing through me and into them, or however you want to describe the flow of energy. the trip takes a while to overwelm a being but eventually with a steady hand, and most importantly spirit, everyone gets trapped by it. ;-)

...as for being a Psychonaut, I always call myself as such. I considered myself one before I ever worked with any substances, when all I used was meditation...and I confirmed it when I fell into varios bizarre occult studies.

yep i totally agree...people i would call psychonauts are...150mg dmt dosers.There's no way, physically, that you could smoke 150 mg's of dmt. I suspect eating that much with an MAOI may cause convulsions. I've never heard of anybody going over 100. Have you read a trip report of a dose that high?
