where in ireland do you hail from?
In a small town bout an hour outside Dublin
have you always lived there?
Yep :)
what are the best things and worst things about where you live?
Good: It's nice and quiet compared to Dublin, lots of nice little pubs and people are more friendly than in Dublin.
Bad: To much development of late loads of houses being built. Also I've lived there all my life and familiarity can breed contempt after a while.

Been to a good few countries around Europe and also been to India, Nepal & Thailand last years, spent over 9 months in Asia. I'd highly recommend it.

Which was your favourite Asian country and why?

India, it's crazy, such abject poverty and still such nice friendly people, also such a spiritual country, amazing spiritual, especially in Varanasi. It's a completely mental country, can't describe it in words.
I'll be back in Asia in about 6 weeks, was gonna go to South America but Im going to Asia instead, gonna start in the Philippines this time.

Do you ascribe a motive for visiting exotic places beyond enjoyment ?

Well I like travelling and experiencing other cultures, people & natural beauty. Plus I'm lucky enough to have been born in a western country so I have the financial means to do this, work for 7/8 months then travel for the same lenght of time. It's nice to be able to take it that easy in life. Everyday I work in Ireland is one day of not working and enjoying life somewhere else.

Aye, Japan last year, England for 9 months (luckily, no babies in that time!) and now in Prague (have been here for just over a week) training to be a teacher.
So, If I was to visit Ireland for a week or so, where would you recommend?

Emm, depends what your after I suppose. (I wouldn't recommend it until next summer though!! :) )Galway on the west coast is a pretty cool town/city, it's far better than Dublin, it has much more character. For rural beautiful areas, anywhere in Kerry in the South West or Glendalough in Wicklow (which isn't far from Dublin).
I'd like to check out Japan someday. UK I'm not to pushed about apart from going ot the Highlands and the Outer Hebrides in Scotland someday.

Ever kissed the Blarney Stone, or is that just a tourist trap?

I kissed it yeah, it is a bit of a tourist trap but nearly every Irish person has been there aswell.

Aye, I've kissed it too. Had to really. Couldn't visit Blarney Castle, which is a very beautiful site, and not kiss it. Do you feel you have the gift of the gab? Or are you a shy person?
