well the more the not always the merrier.
fame and popularity exctract their price.

you set up something that's about one thing and then if the outwardness
of that thing becomes popular it attracts all sorts of everything else,
including detractors in similar clothing and eventualy it's origeonal attraction
gets smothered and burried and lost in the background noise.

yet with all that, it may sometimes still be possible to distill some slight pleasure
from its fatted remains.

and of course there is always the possibility that what i saw in it to begin
with may have been largely wishful thinking within my own head.
as each of us brings to each place what is already in and with us
so that even without intending to each of us alters that place as well

so i would not aggree that this place has entirely gone to hell in a hand
basket but that it is of course, not the same place that it was, say five
or six years ago.

nothing stands still and there is just as much possibility of anything and
everything getting better as there is of its getting worse

really just depends on each and all of us and what we bring to it.
just like our social surroundings in real life,
any forum on the web, is nothing other then the sum of its participants.

i doubt very much i ever met the guy in real life. when he wasn't off in right wing cloud cookoo land he talked about some of the same kinds of things i've had some small experience with. that's all.

sorry if i sounded 'bitchey', nothing personal about it, just what i see as screwing up everything i value in the real world, that yes, i do at times get a bit knee jerk overly sensitive about. but when i leave a place on the net, if it evolves arround to where it's perspective no longer appeals to me, i just go.
