Anyone want to "swap bodies?"

I'm interested in meeting someone who would like to swap with me for whatever length of time. I know that it is possible; When I was 18, I had an experience which enlightened me of this. It freaked me out so, we ended it.
Anyways, my physical shell is 26, healthy, and handsome. I'm very open minded, and quite detached. Also, I take responsibility for the choices I make.
I'm curious to see what kind of responses I'll get from this. I've posted at various forums in regards to the said topic, and I've received all kinds of interesting replies. Intriquingly, many of those who had spoken of their experiences explained the same energetic process for switching vehicles! The same knowledge in which I have come to understand on my own. Why do I want to do this? For more experience, and also, I feel that one could learn alot through remaining in such a state for any length of time.

Wouldn't the other person had to have mastered astral projection too? Otherwise, how could you both simultaneously depart and re-connect with the body of one-another? Seems pretty strange, either way. :)

You would be correct. This is exactly why most people ignore the true ancient metaphysical philosophies. In the old days you just didn't do something like this to see what would happen.

If you read some of the old grimoires, you will find 2/3 of the book doesn't even talk about rituals at all - instead they discuss philosophy. This tells me that if your mind is not mature enough to do magic, then chances are your magic, if you can do it at all, will likewise be imature. In my opinion 99.9% of questions like this and the ones asking how to materialize a spirit or "demon" is immature. The people are oing to be pipssed off at me for making such a sweeping statement are precisely the people who shouldn't be doing this.

Ask yourself the following questions:
Why do you want to swap bodies?
What are you going to do if it works?
What are you going to do if it fails?
What if the so-called authitative book you are reading is wrong?
How can you trust the OTHER person will do what they are supposed to do?
What do you plan to learn?
What really are you trying to accomplish anyway?
And most importantly,
Is this all bullshit?

It is BS. It's the typical superficial crap that attracts some people to metaphysics and really doesn't mean anything, nor does it accomplish anything other than allowing you to have something you can brag about. "Hey guys look I can do magic!"

there was a recent story called "bambi steaks" about doing just that, and the bennifits to everyone, which came out in the story as it went along, in the may analog.

in the story it was a guy who worked at le bou or some other esspresso type place in some city somewhere, swapping/being swapped with, sounded like young people of draft age were drafted into doing so, with some construction worker guy in a small agricultural community.

having grown up a blue hick, something many people i've met in more urban settings seem to have a hard time immagining, well it struck a very gratifying nerve.

of course it was a concept pulled out of thin air, as far as i could see, and thus more fantasy then true science fiction, but it did approach the consiquences in what i thought, aside from a minimum of the usual cleche's for grins, was a reasonably objective manor.

personaly i'd rather swap parallel universes, already having a REAL GOOD idea what kind i'd rather be living in and quite possibly doing so when this body i wear when i'm a waike goes to sleep.

i don't doubt that nontangable and nontecnological methodologies might be possible.

i'm not so sure you'd want anyone as non-rocket scientiest as my self running arround in your body for a couple of weeks. but you'd be perfectly welcome, to enjoy what there is of my 'life' for that duration. although i'm a bit concerned as to what each of us would come back to, presupposing the intention is to do so, if we did.

i'm too sure how much my old bod could take either, but it WOULD be "interesting" to say the least. probably be best limiting ourselves to within our own gender and age groups. although an ACTUAL (physical) gender swap might be enlightening as well.
