My boss said no more working like a mexican

Sorry if that offended anybody, but that is what he said and all.

I found out we were going to be running the current promotion throughout the whole month of October. I told my boss that I'd do 9am-midnight 6 days a week for the next month, and he told me he couldn't let me. When I asked if it was because our corporate office was tired of paying me more than the assistant call center manager, he said that was not the case; he told me that he knows I'm tired because he's caught me napping once or twice. He's not mad about that because the work always gets done on time, but he knows I don't know how to quit and I'll run myself until I drop if he lets me.


It was nice while it lasted, but next week is my last week. I'll swindle something up though. I may have to.....*shudder* go back to phone sales at night for my extra hours. Which wouldn't be bad because then I would just go home at 9pm every night and actually get to sleep.

Nothing new where I'm working, cause I don't work... but I had a dream last night about all the opportunities (career related) I've been offered in this city, coming true... and I'm sad to leave it all behind. :(

Naw. I don't really have a life right now. If I didn't work both shifts I'd sleep most of the day, spend the rest of the day playing video games by myself and work my normal shift.

Atleast here I'm always with my co-workers having fun. I get to be on the forums all day, which I find quite delightful most of the time, and I'm making in one week what I normally make in three.

I did the math and if I manage to get 75 hours a week throughout the entire month of October, I can pay a month in advance on my rent and have the money to pay off all my tickets and fees on my license so I'll be ready to get it back when the suspensions are over.

75 is nothing. I did that for six months straight last year. I'm in my third consecutive week of 90+ hours this week. I keep trying for 100, but for some reason they'll let me work doubles every day of the week except Monday. Bastards. I really want 105 hours :mad:

It depends. I normally sleep between about 1:30am and 7am. The past three days I haven't been to bed earlier than 3:30 and I've been up at 7:30 every day.

And speakign of S.W.A.T: I've seen that movie 6 times and have absolutely no fucking clue what happens or what the general plot is other than the fact that it involves a S.W.A.T team

At DQ...let's see...what has happened new... Well, I still haven't found out if I got the damn employee of the month award. I've worked there a lil over 2 months now and have only taken two 5-minute breaks total since I started. I'm always covering for other people's asses, keeping the peace so that a war doesn't errupt (yeah...there's way too many high school girls working there). We're selling this new Blizzard...Peanut Butter Butterfinger. Does that sound good to anyone? Sounds awful to me, I won't even try it.

No, I'm not really getting burnt out. I'm kinda salty that my boss wont let me do it for another month. I mean I'm still going to get my hours, but now I have to make phone calls for 8 hours a night and my job isn't so sweet.

Anyways....you're insane. I mean, well and truly insane. I couldn't handle being that busy, not having enough alone/relaxation time. I would go positively batty. I thought four courses (five being a full courseload) and working some 16 hours a week was a good amount... you're bananas.

Well as I've said here and there, I have a cushy job. I sit in my office and throw shit at people, talk on the forum, tell dirty jokes, and from time to time I walk around aimlessly. All my job requires is that I enter 8 digit account numbers into our software and click a bunch of buttons to turn peoples service on. If I don't fuck that up, I can do anything else I want.

Good news. I think we've convinced my boss not to hire any more people. Which means *drum roll* 90+ hours a week for the entire month. I'm one happy motherfucker today. That and I slept all afternoon. Then I came to work and did nothing for a few hours. Then I drank 64 ounces worth of energy drink because the gas station has it as a fountain drink now....... Man...... I'm wired....

Sorry, I was veering off topic. At any rate, I got my hours. Which means I'm going to be living good for the next few months. All my bills will be paid this Friday, and by the end of the month I should have enough money to pay 2-3 months of rent in advance. Which means I can take the money I wont be spending on rent and start spending it on my tickets and fines for my license. Which means January 25th when I'm able to get my license back, all I'll have to do is go pay $10 for a new ID card and I'll be legal.

That is the shit.......ok.... I'm going to go bounce off the walls now.
