Hello fellow hip hippies!

Just moved in from Schaumburg, IL. What a drive! I'm loving it here in sunny Arizona...what a change in people! Everyone here seems to be real cool and personable...not a trait you find often in Chi-Town. I'm looking to make some new friends here and I hope I came to the right place. I'm not much into the bars or clubs, but I do enjoy the outdoors like walks on the trails and chillin at home with some good company and have fun "high" times. glendale from chicago huh? whyfor? i moved here 4 years ago from montana and while the weather is nice i miss my trees and grass... anyway, i'm 22 and a chick, live in scottsdale, send me a message if you want.

Moved here to get away from the frigid climate. Chicago is either rainy, snowy, or just down right hot and sticky. I miss the trees too, but the views here are spectacular...unlike the flatlands. People here seem to be a lot more laid back too. The one thing that I am going to miss is the change of seasons, but I think overall I made the right decision.

Since your not into the bars you may not like this much but we have a great little heady community and we support live music and go see lots of shows which happen to be in bars - EXCEPT - this weekend is a reggae show at the Verde Hot Springs - camping all weekend, lots of kynd folks , music , nature and HOT SPRINGS!!!

I moved here to Glendale from St. Louis. Every time I go back to St Louis, I remember why I stay :) I couldn't take the 6-months-of-grey, it got me down.

But I haven't had the same experience with the people... some of them make me want to stay inside... which, I suppose, isn't an ideal place to meet the good ones ;)

If you havent seen it yet, First Fridays is a neat art hoo-hah downtown on 7th.. street? avenue? you cant miss it if you get down there.. on the first friday of every month people come out of the woodwork and put their art out for view and sale, and there are live bands and last month there was a killer drum circle, all sorts of hippies! Its fantastic. It stretches all down the road and most of the little coffee/head shops here will have fliers for it. Just keep an eye out.
